Is a hair and makeup trial necessary?

I'd like a trial, but it's $75 that could go to our honeymoon. I do have thin hair though, so maybe it is necessary so if what I want doesn't work out I can choose something else?

Do it!!! I did my first last month with my makeup, and it was a learning experience. You see so many hairstyles online and it's almost hilarious trying to recreate the "Pinterest look". Ended up having a second trial this past weekend for hair because I wasn't happy and felt like the stylist didn't understand what I wanted. So I got a new stylist and a waaaaaay better style. I also picked up my dress and veil and tried on the veil and for my wedding next weekend I'll have my new stylist do it a bit different to accommodate for the veil.

A bit of a ramble lol but morale of the story is do the trial!

If you have a tricky style in mind that you haven't done to your hair before, it will be worth the money to do a trial. It sounds like you're a little concerned about how your hair will turn out, so just for peace of mind, it's probably a good idea.

I was thinking about skipping my trial too. Mostly because it's a simple ponytail with curls. I'm still on the fence though..

I have been having the same question. I am having trouble making the time to do both.

I 100% agree with the PPs who say yes, do the trial. I did my trial and it was SO worth it. My stylist did my hair the way I had requested from a photo off Pinterest and, after an hour or so when it was finished, we both were like "No... this is not it." We made tweaks and notes on how we can fix it for the day of... you won't have that kind of time on your wedding day! $75 for a trial is worth it for no stress about your hair on your wedding day.

We’re having a bit of a DW so I’m not going to have a trial ahead of time, but if I had the opportunity, I’d do it in a heartbeat!
