We didn't have one! We were too busy partying right up until the end of the night (aka the last minute we had the room reserved until). Didn't work for us logistically and we didn't miss it.

I personally don't care for them. I went to a wedding this fall that had a sparkler send off (which really wasn't a great idea considering the open bar and drunk people, but I digress) and by the time the bride and groom came out of the reception, most people's sparklers were done. I just kind of think as a guest it's lame, but that's just my opinion.

I really dont want to do one but my coordinator seems insistent on us doing one. Haven't made a firm choice yet.

It's not necessary. I didn't have one at mine... in fact, I was the last person in the building (except for my coordinator). It's fun and makes a pretty picture, I LOVE photographing them. But it's better for couples who actually plan on leaving the party a bit early. A lot of my brides do fake send-offs, earlier in the evening before a lot of people have left.

We weren't going to do one; however, the venue manager said that when couples don't do them, it can be a bit of a hassle trying to get stragglers to leave, so now we're debating it.

No having one and I have never seen anyone do one. I think it is akward to make people wait around for.

We aren't doing on because our reception ends at 10 and we are going out with people afterwards and will all head out together.

I don't think I've ever seen one, and I've stayed until the end of quite a few receptions.

I find them somewhat uncomfortable. We're having a bonfire/firepit rental at our venue after the reception is formally over, for those staying the night at the hotel attached. I feel like it would be awkward to have any sort of formal "send off" when most of us are just going downstairs to the beach. Depends on your venue though and your vision, if it doesn't feel right then nix it Smiley smile

No, it's not necessary. In fact, a third of guests will call it a night before you do.

We aren't. Our whole wedding is taking place at the hotel where we are staying and I feel like a send off to the elevator would be a bit over the top.

We aren't doing one. We are staying at the hotel the reception is at. I've always pictured send offs in snazzy AF cars and would feel weird driving around the block and then getting out from where we just left from haha.

Not doing one - it's a DW and we're all in the same hotel. We'll probably end up in the lobby bar afterwards until late hours with our friends. Good times!
