Is Anyone Doing Floating Candle Centerpieces?

TriniGirl44, on January 20, 2014 at 10:36 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 20

I would love to do these for my reception. I only need enough for 10 tables since I'm having only about 50 people.

I'm not, but I was at a wedding in November where they did them. They were so cute!

That is almost verbatim what I am doing! I'm including some clear rocks or crystals at the bottom and putting an underwater colored LED light (blue for our colors in December) I'm super lucky that our venue is allowing us to use the vases so all we need to bring is the supplies to make the centerpiece. I am still torn between doing 1 large floating candle or 2-3 smaller ones. Either way it will look beautiful! I'm excited!

I am doing something along those lines. I am not 100% yet but I will be having floating candles and small votive candles on square mirror tiles.

We are including them in ours. The middle will be a teapot with flowers in it. Around that will be three teacups with floating candles. All the pots and cups will be mismatched.

I am. I just have to figure out how to incorporate them because our venue provides candelabras for the centerpieces and I love those. We'll be decorating the bar, cake table, dessert table, etc. so I'm planning on using them for that. I bought flowers I like from the Dollar Tree and considered getting submersible lights for the bottom like Kathryn.

Those are pretty much exactly my centerpieces, but with blue orchids. There are 3 tubes of varying heights on each table an top of a round mirror and a few gem stones. I love them!

We're going to be doing 9" cylinder vases with clear glass "rocks" at the bottom and a submerged (artificial) rose at the bottom, then a floating candle at the top. Pretty simple, but I keep seeing orchids everywhere and all the other flowers I'm doing are roses too, so I wanted them the same. Smiley smile

I'm doing the same thing but with eucalyptus leaves instead of orchids and more river rocks in the bottom. All three different sized vases are going on a tree slice with moss and fairy lights. i bought everything but the moss on craigslist. Easy peasy and cheap!
