is anyone else obsessed with flowers?

Brigit, on February 6, 2015 at 1:51 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 26

I am totally obsessed with flowers and they are pretty much the only things i really have high expectations for.

I sometimes feel like an outcast here because alot of people post about non floral centerpieces.

What flowers are you using?

here are some that i love

I love flowers, they're so gorgeous. But I just cannot bring myself to spend thousands of dollars on something that will be dead by the following weekend. The only flowers I am getting are the bouquets, bouts, & corsages.

@Maltese you are doing it very similar to me! BM's will have baby's breath bouquets and I think my bouquet will be white hydrangeas and baby's breath. I want to put a bit of baby's breath in mason jars for the centerpieces.

OP I love flowers too Smiley smile

I am all about flowers right now too. I just met with my florist a couple of weeks ago & I am finalizing my bouquet.

My bouquet is still up in the air, but will be blush & ivory. Our colors are blush & champagne/gold. Reception flowers will be blush roses with big airy greenery on every table. If the budget allows we will have hydrangeas in the center pieces as well. We will also have bouquets of gold glitter sprayed baby's breath at the reception. An idea I got from another bride here on WW & loved.

My bouquet inspiration. It's similar to the 3rd one you posted, just Spring colors instead of Fall!

I love flowers and plan on doing floral centerpieces.

We plan on using a lot of garden roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and a bunch of greenery.

Thanks guys! I got the spray paint idea a few wks back from another bride here. I bought the spray paint, tried it out & it is easy! Here's what I bought. I sprayed a big 'P' I bought at Michaels too. Turned out awesome.

No, I didn't have any problem. In fact the baby's breath only needed one coat & dried fast, less than 10 mins.

I was careful to keep far enough back, got nice light coats, no dripping.

Yes! My floral quote has shown that I like flowers a bit too much. I hate the thought of spending that much money on flowers, but I'm the person that always has flowers in my house.

These were all of the flowers at my wedding. It was a complete surprise to me since my MIL handled all of them with the florist. I thought I would be limited to just purple and white flowers to match my colors, but my MIL knows the Stargazer Lilly is my favorite so she had them everywhere, and they smelt so good. Here is also my flower pinspiration board: https://www.pinterest.com/tassiakay/flowers/
