Is anyone else wearing flat sandals with their dress?

I decided to wear flat sandals with my dress for a few reasons, I don't want to be uncomfortable in heels and I don't really like ballet flats. I was going to get the rose gold ones from David's Bridal but after seeing them in person, I was disappointed. Anyway, a coworker/upcoming wedding guest was asking about the attire at my wedding. I showed her the shoes I picked and she got really judgy.. she made a face at me and was saying they are ok if they won't be seen (they won't be seen btw) and that she is just "more traditional" - I'm really tired of unsolicited opinions. Unfortunately, I'm pretty impressionable and this is the 2nd time I've allowed this person to make me 2nd guess myself..which then leads to me stressing out like crazy. I'm putting a pic below of the shoes, so please let me know if any of you think they are THAT BAD. Also, just to note, this woman is old enough to be my mother, so maybe its just a generation gap. Pic below.

Tell the girl to STFU and don't let her get to you. Your day. Not hers. I love the shoes!

I prefer flats but was considering a low heel for my wedding day. Unfortunately, my dress came in and I only have about a half inch to spare, so flats is pretty much my only option.

I like your sandals a lot and if my wedding was a tiny bit earlier I'd wear them to my wedding too!

I wouldn't let other people's opinions on your wedding (especially about things that have 0 effect on them/guests) get to you so much. Opinions are like assholes; everyone has them.

I think they are beautiful, I'm also wearing sandals because no one will see them and I'm not the most coordinated person to begin with lol so I'm skipping the heels for safety sake lol

If it makes you feel better, I live in New Hampshire and I'm wearing sandals for my October wedding. I think if that's what you want then go for it. These sandals are pretty and if that's what you like then go with your gut. You want to be comfortable and I don't blame you!

These are super cute!!! Don't let her bother you -they're your feet, at your wedding! ;-) I tore my fascia in my right foot last year (guys, don't do this!!! Soooooo not fun, lol) so I am definitely opting out of wearing heels. I'm going with sequined supportive sandals, they likely won't be seen, + I'll still be comfy & walking by the end of the night!!

I think they're beautiful! I will be wearing heels for pics and changing into flats for the reception so I can be comfortable!

I wanted to wear flat sandals for the same reason as you... That's what I'm most comfortable in. And no ones going to see my shoes anyway so who cares. However my dress was just an Inch or so away from not needing to be hemmed... So to save money I got shoes with a small heel.

While planning a wedding you have to always remember that people will always be jealous. I'm not saying she's jealous but it could be the case since it isn't the first time she's says something to you that isn't too nice. A lot of people don't get to have a wedding or even find the man of their dreams so I think as a bride we need to be aware that not everyone will genuinely be happy for us.
