Is anyone going to a spa a week before the wedding day?

Erika, on June 8, 2018 at 9:42 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 22

Good morning Future Brides,

I would like to know if any of you will go to a spa before the big day. I usually do facial treatments but I believe a spa treatment will be so relaxing. Are there any suggestions to places or kind of packages to purchase. Let me know.

Thank you.

I have appointments at a lovely spa here about six days before the wedding. Getting a massage and facial, plus full body wax 😳

My BMs gifted me a spa package as my Bridal Shower Gift!! I plan on using it a week or two before the wedding because it includes a massage and facial!

Yes! I am scheduling a facial package a few weeks before the wedding and getting a massage as well. I go to a local spa.

Spas are relaxing and rejeuvenating experiences, and can make you feel great before your wedding! We have definitely planned for spa treatments before the wedding. My partner knows how much I love massage, and likes to gift massage gift certificates to me, so we both knew it would be a big deal for me to get a massage before the wedding. A lot about the packages offered will depend upon your location. Some spas will offer a full compliment of amenities from hair and nails to facials and body treatments to sauna and massage. There is a Turkish bathhouse near where I live that my partner and I enjoy visiting that offers many of those services; including sauna & steamroom; whirlpool bath, massage, hair, and nail services. They even have snacks and a bar at my favorite location to visit! You can also find salons that offer a similar range of benefits at hotels and near larger cities. I would visit the websites of the salons you wish to visit because they will sometimes offer designed packages or discounts for scheduling multiple services if you share it is for a wedding, or if you bring your bridal party. Some spas even offer discounts for visiting during a specific day or time. Visit Groupon as well to find great opportunities in your area from local businesses. Happy planning!

I love a good hot stone massage. I am planning to make time to get one the week before.

Be safe doing any facials or anything of the sort. Last thing you would want is your body to react to it in a negative way and you look like you got a really bad sunburn on your face.

    Hello Pegs,

What local Spa do you go to? I need a suggestion since for facial ones, I will go to Ulta but don't have a clue of a good spa place or the deals they offer.

No, but I feel like this is a freaking amazing idea, so I may consider doing so now!

I personally have never had a facial done, but I would definitely love a deep-tissue massage to relieve some stress before my big day.

Hello William. Thank you for your feedback. My fiance has been going to 4 sessions at Ulta since he has acne problems and it has worked great. It is true though you need to know the place where to get them done. That is why the spa will be more like for massage purpose.

    Hello Future Mrs. H,

Facial treatments are great. I do recommend them but make sure to check if you don't have any sensitive skin to let them know so they can use a different product on your face and not cause any reaction. I bet you want to look gorgeous in your special day.

    Hi, Erika!

I go to a local spa in a western suburb of Cleveland, Ohio by the name of Soothe. Out of all the places I've been to for massages, this is by far my favorite one. I have yet to do a facial here, but I told them about my wedding and they gave me a facial package that involves four or five different components for $60. They're very well rated online. Not sure if you're from the NE Ohio area, but I'd check it out if you are near here.

    Pegs,

Unfortunately, I am located in New Jersey. But I will look into checking packages since they have different kind of massages.

My FH and I both r the day before our wedding. We r starting our day off together at the spa for a couples massage. I am also having some other things done, facial....etc. We will then seperate to do other grooming things. He goes with the fellas to do haircuts and pick up decor. I will go with the ladies for nails and whatever else we need to do.

    Hello Tanequa,

That is a great plan to me. Wish you the best in your wedding day. I should get my nails done with my mom who got from Peru, my Maid of Honor who is my sister, my younger sisters and my cousins.

I am! I plan on getting monthly facials starting 4-5 months before the wedding, then I'll have time to try different facials and treatments without worrying it's too close. I'll get the final one probably 2 weeks before the wedding. But the week of I'll get my nails & toes done and probably a couple's massage for both of us! I'm thinking of buying my fiance a facial too a couple weeks before. I'd just look at a bunch of spas in your areas, some have all day packages with multiple things or memberships monthly so you can do 1-2 services a month.
