Is anyone not doing favors or programs?

Yvonne, on October 2, 2021 at 12:56 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Is anyone NOT doing favors or programs? I left this to the last minute but also I don't feel the need to give our guests favors. We have a small wedding and a day of coordinator so do we really need a program as well?

We did favors for our minimony, but we won't be doing them for our reception happening later on today.

We won’t be doing programs. Unless you have an extremely complicated or unusual ceremony, there is no need to provide programs- people know how weddings work. As far as guest favors, we will be doing them, but by no means are they required. If you want to forego favors and save the money, definitely do it. Guests probably won’t even notice.

Not doing either! Although we do have a very informal “schedule” written on a chalkboard at the venue. Is anyone not doing favors or programs? 1

Ah, these are final week items people they think need, but really you can save yourself the stress and just decide not to do them. Programs need editing hours. Favors require personalization and pick-up. I hunted too long for stupid Etsy stickers. If you have the extra time, spend it with your partner NOT doing wedding stuff. Best wishes!

We didn't do either, and most weddings we have been to skipped them both. Unless your wedding has something very unique, people know how ceremonies and receptions generally flow. Favors are often left at the venue unless they're something edible.

We're not doing either and never considered it. Definitely not something you need to spend money on.

We did neither, but our Wedding was very simple as well, even still, I don’t feel they are required.

We aren’t doing favors or programs. We are having a short ceremony (like 15 minutes max.) and we are also going to be overlooking the ocean so we didn’t want paper flying onto the beach. And everyone throws favors away and since we are having a welcome party Friday night for all guests we aren’t doing favors

We're skipping ceremony programs. At the weddings I've been to as a guest, the papers get left behind at the ceremony location (people leave them on the seats, on the floor, toss them out right away, etc). Like previous comments have said, unless there's a super unique part of your ceremony, I would skip the programs and save the money and paper.

We're doing homemade cookies as our favors but no programs. Everyone knows how a wedding goes, they don't need a program to tell them the breakdown if you have a day of coordinator, and the programs get thrown in the trash afterwards. Spend the money somewhere else. Or if it really matters that much to you, have it written out on an board I'm nice script or something so guests can read that. Smiley smile

I won't be doing either. I've never been to a wedding with programs and I hear it's a lot of wasted money. Favors no one takes usually. I went with a photobooth instead that way they still can take something home with them

We aren’t doing either, unless you count the koozies we are ordering. But that’s more to prevent cold hands. Lol
