Is Cleavage a Bad Thing?

So I have my wedding dress and I absolutely love it. And nearly everyone I show pictures to like it. But now I'm starting to think maybe too much cleavage? My mom loves the dress and thinks it's fine but I did have one of her friends and one of my friends make that dumb comment like "Does your...
So I have my wedding dress and I absolutely love it. And nearly everyone I show pictures to like it. But now I'm starting to think maybe too much cleavage? My mom loves the dress and thinks it's fine but I did have one of her friends and one of my friends make that dumb comment like "Does your mom/grandma approve?" I'm guessing in reference to the cleavage (even though I'm a 24 year old woman.) Just wondering if it could be too much for the wedding.

I should mention that in the picture the dress is too small and not fitted to my body measurements. I'm guessing once I get the dress in my size it will probably cover more but it's still a deep V.

The dress looks fine on you! Now depending on your setting/crowed/beliefs it may be too much. Too much for a secular wedding? No. Too much for a conservative church wedding? Probably.

I think your dress is beautiful and I would say too much cleavage is not good in my opinion but I don't think your dress is showing too much cleavage at all. If you love it then that's all that matters.

I'm sorry! I wasn't wearing a bra! But they only look that good because the dress comes with cups and because of adjustments I made in the fitting room! 😂 I have used "boob tape" in dresses before and that has worked better than those strapless bra things you find In department stores! Sorry if that doesn't help! But I'm sure they can do something for you when your dress goes into alterations!

Thank you guys! You are all so sweet. I know this is THE dress. It matches me and the venue. It's just easy to have doubt or to second guess when others put their two cents in!

Um that dress is GORGEOUS and you look AMAZING in it. I can see why you love it! If you are comfortable and the cut of the dress doesn't go against any religious restrictions, I say go for it. I also think the illusion panel makes this more discrete even if there is cleavage - it's not like you are going to fall out of the dress, and I feel like the illusion panel is more conservative than showing bare skin even if the mesh is transparent.

There are always going to be super conservative people that think that showing any skin or wearing something that is fitted to your figure is scandalous. If this dress makes you feel confident, beautiful, and sexy, and you've got moms approval then it's a winner. This dress is super flattering on you. I think you should rock it!

I think that it looks more dramatic because the dress is a little small. You could also have the seamstress change the color of the illusion mesh to be ivory or a darker color to better match your skin tone if that would make you feel more covered.

This is gorgeous! This is YOUR day, and YOUR dress. If this dress makes you happy and you are comfortable in it, then perfect! In my opinion, your mother or grandmother are not worrying about the cleavage of your dress - all they want is for you to be happy and love every piece of this special day.

I have no cleavage at all and wish I had some. I am not even an A which is sad. If you have them flaunt them!

Cleavage is great!!! . And your dress looks perfectly tasteful. You love it and your mom does too. So no need and worrying about trying to please others.

I like it but you have to be 100 percent comfortable. If it distracts you now it will on your big day. You can always ask the seamstress to match the material and add a little material to the inside to cover to the point your comfortable. Its a gorgeous dress!

Honestly, I have seen dresses that DO show to much. (I'll probably get hit for saying that.) But when I look at your picture, I think it's lovely and doesn't show too much. I realize once it's altered to fit you perfectly, it won't look as dramatic too, but as it is, I love it! You have a very nice figure, and it's rockin'. Smiley smile But heck no, from your pic, it looks absolutely fine. Smiley heart

The most important thing is if you feel comfortable in the dress. It looks great on you by the way.
