Ive changed my dress, the venue and the theme

Girl, no, not just you! We've changed our date which in turn changed our entire theme, colors, etc. Our wedding is now another year out instead of just 5 months like it was originally. I told my FH that I've changed my mind so much on big things in just this past year alone that it was good for us to have the extra planning time. I'm such an indecisive person as it is, but the longer planning goes on and budget is involved you realize what's really important to you. We've even changed the size of our wedding by cutting our guest list in half!

I had to change date. I looked at so many places for dresses -ugh. But my vision for wedding really has morphed and changed. Some because his granny is coming and a wedding on sandy beach -not good for 95 yo granny. I have a photographer booked and nothing else. Need a dj. I will order flowers from Costco or Sams. Might change my mind about centerpieces, not sure if I will do assigned tables, oh yeah-lots of stuff I just haven’t even done. I figure January will have to be it.

It’s not just you… I feel like every third post on WW has to do with someone second-guessing their decision and trying to find the “perfect“ vendor, decor, dress... etc. it’s kind of shocking to me to hop around and be that indecisive. I guess there was never a mapped out plan made to direct what the day, decor, colors, etc. would look like. But I find it happens because brides keep looking backwards at something they already decided on, instead of moving onto the next planning step. And if you look hard enough you will definitely find something else. It‘s self-inflicted stress that makes the planning process difficult, when it’s not.

I keep changing my floral ideas. Haha

View Quoted Comment I actually found that moving forward and planning the next things is what made me change my mind. When picking out our invitations I realized I was attracted to a totally different vibe than we were originally thinking. When taking my dress in for alterations, I didn’t feel like I loved my dress anymore. So it’s not like I was just sitting back and still looking at dresses when I had one picked. It was moving FORWARD that made me come to the realization.

I'v stood firm in all my original decisions. The flowers are my only wildcard and that's because I'm doing them myself and have changed my mind on what textures will flow well. The color of the arrangement has stayed consistent.

I’ve changed my mind do many times I’m sure I’ve driven everyone around me crazy xD. I bought a dress then exchanged it (I love my new dress so it was worth it). I’ve changed my date a lot too. I’ve finally settled on one (as long as someone doesn’t snipe us in June on the permit application haha)

I think it's because we see all these other options out there so it makes us get new ideas
