Is it normal to start freaking out now?

Kerin, on January 26, 2021 at 9:02 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 16
19 days to the wedding...I'm already worrying I'm going to forget something 🤦‍♀️ I've been packing things in a tote to haul across the state the Friday before our ceremony, and I'm using my checklist lol

You'd think, with the pandemic cancelling the reception and the event now being a quick one outdoors without seating or anything, it would be a breeze!
I suppose as long as I don't forget to pickup my Fiance on the way, or to bring the marriage license, it'll all be fine 😂😂😂😂

Very true on the marriage license and fiancé!!! Don’t forget any garments for under your dress. I was really worried about that one! Good luck ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, that's pretty normal. Especially, if one had anxiety in general

It’s pretty normal. A month before my wedding, I designated a space in my house for only wedding stuff and I start putting everything for the wedding there. That way, when it was time to leave for my destination wedding, everything was in one place. There were times I’d be watching tv and I’d think of something. I’d jump up and put it on the stack. Lol! The Rubbermaid storage totes and Amazon boxes were a lifesaver. Plus, i also scoped out the stores near my wedding location that I may need in case I forgot something (Target, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby). It actually came in handy! You got this!! 😊

I'm going through the same thing (13 days to go!) and I'm assuming its normal for those of us who are planners and to-do list fans Smiley smile Like Sharonda above me, I designated a spot in the house where I'm collecting everything and using a checklist.

The thing that I thought of today on my way to work was a vase for my bouquet... I don't want those puppies dying before I can get them in silica for preservation so I'm going to bring a dollar store vase to keep them in water.

If you feel like you might be forgetting things, I did a lot of looking at wedding check lists on Pinterest to be sure I didn't overlook anything. It helped me see that I was plenty prepared!

Thank you, Sharon day! That's pretty much what im doing. The guest bedroom is the collection zone and I think I'll lay out everyone's attire before I pack the car to make sure all that is in there. 💗

Lol I tried to be smart with them. They're already in the plastic box with the ring pillow, and it's already in the wedding stuff tote. 🤞🤞

Thank you, Melissa! Yes, you and Sharonda seem to have my exact same affliction with needing a list to check 3 times 🤣 im sure it will be ok. I have the house to myself for a good 7 hours before we travel to the hotel, so I think if I lay it all out again and repack it, I'll ease my worries. I'll definitely look for those online checklists, though!! Hadn't even thought of that!

It is normal to be a little anxious or nervous. I would just make a list of things to make sure you don’t forget anything. That is what I did and I felt pretty at ease 2 weeks before my wedding.

Thank you, Meghan. I've dedicated 1 room to all things wedding, so it's contained. I swear this is just because we've had so many pieces of the wedding cancelled because of the other challenges (Covid cancelled reception and cost us our venue...so moved it to outside in a park, no seating and only a 20 minute ceremony). I'm sure it will all be fine, I really just need to re-evaluate the list I've been working off of. All the notes I've made that no longer apply are cluttering it all up and making me feel disorganized. Smiley ups
