Is it ok for your fiance to see your trial hair?

My husband saw me right after I had mine done. I figured he wouldn’t remember anyway. He actually had some good feedback on how to make it better and it was helpful.

How was it the day of doing your own makeup? I plan on having someone do my hair but doing my own makeup and wanted to know if the experience was what you wanted and no pressure doing it on your own

View Quoted Comment Yes personally I was so happy doing it on my own, it was definitely the right decision for me. I was germaphobic before Covid lol and the idea of someone else touching my face was giving me more anxiety than doing it myself. I am not a huge makeup person to begin with and I just felt like if I hired someone else to do it, it was going to be too much and I wouldn’t feel like I looked like myself. So I practiced a lot ahead of time and did a relatively natural look on my own. It only took me 30 mins to do the morning of. I didn’t feel rushed because I had practiced before and knew exactly how long it should take! I was a little concerned that my hand may be shaky with nerves and I wouldn’t be able to do my eyeliner or something, so I asked one of my bridesmaids in advance if she’d help if that happened lol. Luckily it didn’t!

I must admit, I came home and washed my face before my fiancee saw me after my makeup trial. I just wanted him to be surprised I guess.
I also stayed at a hotel the night before the wedding. I'm just very traditional in that way.
I think it's perfectly fine either wayMy fiancee saw my hair trial because it was before rehearsal due to a very last minute cancellation from my previous hair dresser. I think it's up to each individual bride. Congratulations! 🥰❤👰💍

It is fine, quite normal. People on WW seem to assume no one wants to be seen by groom, and people want everything to be a surprise, of you read the greater number of posts on the subject. But on fact, lots of grooms help pick out gowns, and other parts of bride's apparel, and critique their hair and makeup trials. Not something to be hidden or kept as a surprise, but enjoying sharing this special thing, and the anticipation. Many guys like picturing what their bride will look like. In the same spirit that many couples enjoy the process of selecting rings, or first houses or apartments.
