Is it ok to have sex the same day you get a brazilian wax or sugaring? UPDATE!!!!!!

I just had my very first waxing experience. And I can say that I did NOT want to be touched there for almost two days. After that it was golden though.

As someone who has been doing it for 10+ years i dont care if its an hour after i get wax lol BUT if your skin gets really itchy and sensitive and super red prob give it a rest for a day or two. if u can that is!

Definitely depends how sensitive you are to the waxing. Have you ever had it done before? Personally my skin is always red and super sensitive after any kind of wax... I would think it would just plain hurt, in addition to possibly letting in an infection. Just wait until the next day, or get the wax a day earlier!

If you aren't experienced at getting waxes, you can put rubbing alcohol on the area to disinfect and then rinse with cold water in the shower to close the pores. So if you're set on having sex the same day, definitely do both of those things first to minimize risk of infecting the pores.

Is it your first time getting waxed or sugared? Then I would say no. But it's really a personal decision. I've been getting sugared (full Brazilians) for 3+ years now. If I get sugared in the morning I'm usually okay a few hours later, I have pretty sensitive skin too. But when I first started getting sugared I definitely needed a full day for the things to not feel too tender. Also, you will have a lot of open pores, you'll be at a higher risk of breakouts if you don't keep the area clean while everything calms down.

I suggest getting it done at least 24hrs before you want to get down and dirty. It will still be like you just got freshly waxed and you'll be more comfortable.

I get Brazilian sugared every 4 weeks religiously. I do NOT recommend having sex within the first 24 hours. Your skin will be slightly inflammed and the pores are open. ouch ouch ouch. You're at an increased risk for infection and ingrown hair.

Also, don't go tanning. =]

Ive been getting Brazilians for years and years..when I was new to it I stayed away from sweating , water, tanning, sex for a few days..now it doesn't affect me at all

You sure can, but you might not want to. Depends on how sensitive your skin is.

I did once and I will NEVER do it again. I get waxes regularly but FH has facial hair and my lady bits were extremely sensitive and sore for 2 days after. If that is something that is a constant in your bedroom, wait a day, nothing will change.

Licensed esthetician here in North Carolina. Please wait at least 12 hours before sexual intimacy after getting a wax. Reason why is because the pies are very open and sensitive which can cause ingrown hairs and other stuff.

Yes lol. And also depends on your skin irritation levels. Lol because I’ve been getting them for 3 years and never had an issue.

My waxer said she recommends 48-hours before any “vigorous activity with him”.
