Is it okay not to have a limo?

We didn't do a limo and it was okay. I got to the venue on Saturday at 5 when my bridal suite was opened for us. No one else was there yet. My FH and groomsmen drove in around 6 and we were almost the last ones to leave our venue and we drove off in a red convertible corvette. No limo needed and didn't miss it at all!

A friend of mine decided that instead of a limo they would rent a nicer car for the day. (Actually her dad decided and then did it and proceeded to drive for them) That way they had a nicer car but still didn't pay as much. Another friend had a friend or family member who had a nice older car that they used instead of a limo.

We wouldn't be using limos if someone hadn't gifted them to us

My reception and venue were initially at the same place. We weren't going to have a limo either. The ONLY reason why we are getting a limo now is that I saw sale on groupon and also found a nice church that makes it more worthwhile now to get married in the church. Otherwise, save your money.

We're also jumping in on the "no limo" ... limo. lol! We're driving ourselves in our own vehicles and I don't drink and nor does half of the bridal party.

Nope - not doing one here either - I didn't want to waste the money on a 15 minute drive each way...We know someone who has a really nice car and they are letting us use it for the day.

We aren't getting a limo. Our hotel is one block away from our venue (ceremony and reception), so my stepdad is going to drive us there (so we don't get sweaty) and we are walking back.

We're not doing a limo because our ceremony location is a mile and a half away from the reception location...and most places out here have a minimum rental of four hours - there was no way we could justify paying that much!

We're looking into a party bus instead. So far we've found they are better priced.

It's not a real wedding if you don't have a limo. *rolls eyes*

We had a limo. It drove me, my parents and us girls to the church. Then after drove the whole wedding party to the park for pictures, then to my parents house, then to the reception and then drove DH and I back to the hotel after the reception. We also had wine and some hard alcohol in the limo for us to enjoy after the ceremony. It was a fun thing to have. My parents paid for it. I think it was around $800 for the day.

For us it wasn't about the fancy car as much as going to take between the ceremony and reception with everyone in 1 vehicle. This way people don't get stuck at lights or lost in traffic. For us it was a time management solution.

No limo here- the ceremony and reception are all the at the same location and the hotel is less than 5 mins away. I am however paying for a shuttle service for my guests who are coming from the hotel.

Is your venue far from your ceremony location?

No limo for us. Our ceremony/reception is at a hotel which is 15 mins from us and they have two rooms for us to get ready in.

I have not book transportation for me an the party yet because I can't find anything I like at a reasonable price and I hate limos! Sigh. At this point, I'll prefer to arrive in the enterprise rental car we'll have than a limo. I'm with you Coffee&tea, I think the limo money could be used towards something better like favors, drinks, cake, etc.
