Is It Tacky?

People do it all the time. I think it’s nice to post one pic of you and your fiancé where your ring is visible but it’s not the main focus.

I find it tacky and honestly look down on girls who do it. To me it is so shallow.

If your ring is visible in a picture of you or you and your FH, that is fine. Now if a friend ask about it and you text it to them, that is fine.

I don't think it's tacky really. I posted a collage of our engagement day. One of he and I with my hand on his chest displaying the ring, one of he, I and his son and then one of the ring he chose. I didn't want to feel awkward, but was very proud and excited for the moment.

Also - who cares what others think.

I think a photo or two is nice but going overboard by posting about it all the time and every day would be annoying lol

There is nothing about being proud and admiring your ring. Maybe not on the daily but definitely at those special moments there is nothing wrong with it.

From reading other posts, I imagine it's because you replaces your white sapphire with the diamond? If so, I don't know that I'd share that information, and I honestly don't know how many people could tell the difference between the two without it. I like the pp ideas of a picture of you two with the ring as a focus, rather than just the ring.

Not at all! If anything I think it’s something that people would love to see! It’s a great and exciting time for you and there’s nothing wrong with sharing that with others. Maybe I wouldn’t post dozens of pictures of it but I think your friends and family are totally love to see it and will share your excitement over it! And Congratulations, you’re getting married!!
