Is it too early to ask my bridesmaids and mohs?

I asked my bridal party in October 2021 and we aren’t getting married til Oct 28, 2023. We have half the bridal party that are out of state and who have children. We wanted to give ample time for them to save and put a care plan in place for their children. We’ve known some of our bridal party for over 34 yrs.

I just asked them tonight. Everyone said yes.

I don’t think it’s too early, but because I have not booked a venue yet I don’t think I should yet.

Hi! I asked my party and my fiancé asked his back in 2021 when we 1st got engaged. Granted we have a very small friend group and did the proposal to them privately one-on-one. If you have some people you know 100% for sure you want to be in the wedding but are still debating on a few others so long as you do the asking 1 on 1 privately I think it’s totally fine. If you plan to do one big proposal as a get together thing then wait until you know 100% that those are the only people you want standing up for you.

I asked shortly after being engaged. Getting married October 2023. However, it’s also my sisters and my best friend so like when we announced our engagement we just gave them a small little gift bag and asked at the same time as we don’t see each other as often.

What did you get as proposal gifts? I’m getting married in October 2023 as well and I want to do proposals but not sure what I can get that would be useful to the girls

Absolutely not too early I'm getting married Sept 2023 and I did my proposals in June. Not everyone is financially available tbh. So if you want full involvement and a dedicated group of women to be there for you it can never be too early to let them know you want them by your side and get them planners so there aren't any shockers. Also it helps alleviate the planning process on your behalf because they want to help!

I just finished asking my bridesmaids this past weekend (also Oct 2023). I wanted to get it done as soon as possible so 1) they can have the date blocked off and 2) have time to save and take time off for bachelorette party (I'm doing a destination). Things obviously change over time and so may your relationships, so that may be something you need to consider. I'd say it depends on what all you'll need them to do leading up to the wedding.

I would wait a bit longer. Like you said, these relationships have changed over time and some of these people you mentioned do not seem like true friends.

I’m getting married in October 2023 I already have my venu my dress ordered and my bridal party so no it’s definitely not early the more time you have the better

I asked sometime in Oct 2021. I’m not getting married til October 2023. I wanted everyone to have ample time saving up. There’s quite a few groomsmen from out of town.
