    Hi!
Yes, already started. We’re getting married 6/2/23 and have our venue, hair/make up, photographer/videographer, and our entertainment booked. Next is wedding dress shopping in April 🥳

Hi! June 2023 here too. I will need to start studying in mid-2022 for a professional exam in fall 2023 so take all of this with a grain of salt - I’m intentionally trying to front-load my planning!

We have our date reserved at the church, and hotel venue booked. The hotel includes food, floral centerpieces, chairs/linens, wedding cake, and came with a room block. Our guest list is done and we are only waiting on a few to get back to us with their personal emails so we can send out our website (basic info for now, updating as we go). We aren’t doing mailed save the dates & invitations - except for a hand written card to elderly relatives, we are embracing the digital age lol
I went and tried on dresses once to see what I like, and next on the list to book are photographer and DJ, which I hope to have in the next 2-3 weeks.

HiSmiley smile Our wedding date is June 23,2023. We have our venue booked-they include food/bar. We booked our DJ and photographer/videographer. I was just getting anxiety that my date would be booked already so that’s why I booked very early. I also wanted time to be able to budget/save. I’m probably going to buy my dress next summer/fall. Anyone have any blue color scheme ideas/names of blues that look good together?

No time is too early! I actually think the earlier the better. It’s a crazy market for vendors right now so if you get in early you will get your pick of the bunch! We booked our venue in 2020 a week after getting engaged and then just booked things casually after that. No rushing, which takes away that wedding planning stress and you’ll get to enjoy your engagement! And you won’t have to deal with vendor deposits all at once.

Also you want to start looking for a wedding dress more than a year in advance since it takes a long time for things to come in plus alterations. Where I went it’s 6-8 months for my dress to come in and then about 3 months for alterations.

There’s a ton of weddings happening right now with all the COVID delays so you also want to get your save the dates out around 8 months or so before so people know to save that date for you!
The more time you have the more laid back and fun it all is!
This is just my advice though. Wedding are entirely customizable and you make the rules! So do whatever is right for you!
    Congrats!! 💍🥂

If I’m being honest I am already married but logged back in to my old account because I’m helping plan my little sisters wedding. We have already purchased her dress and are starting to look at venues. She is getting married in June 2023 but I know from experience you want all the time you can get because it goes fast. I had roughly a year and a half to plan my wedding and I was planning up until the week of. Time definitely gets you when you are planning lol. Good luck and remember to have fun! ♥️

Hello. I started planning my wedding and looking at venues/wedding planners over a year in advance. Venues fill up fast and you have to plan for events close to a year in advance. It is already 9 months away, and I already had to set my calendar for wedding dress fittings and working with my wedding planner to arrange my food, dj, venue, music, photography, dress, etc. I still have to get my guest list arrange. The goal is to stay organized and on top of it.

We’ve booked many things already for our June 2023 wedding. I want to enjoy the last few months of being engaged and not be completely stressed. Also we’re living in a wild time, the wedding industry is crazy. Many vendors are booking insanely quickly for the years to come and the prices are increasing too. I feel like it’s almost better to start now to lock in what and who you want for potentially a better price.

Highly recommend doing this, things book up fast depending where you are having it. It doesn’t hurt to reach out to places and just ask if they started booking for 2023 yet.

Totally agree.. Plan now versus later is always a great thing to do. A lot of vendors are already booked in June 2023 is what I have come across. I have 2 more vendors to go and I am all set.
