Is it too early to start shopping for a wedding dress?

Have you booked a venue or, at least, have the setting well-determined? You can start gathering some information about best options for dresses -- style, material, fit -- that will be suitable for your tastes and the time of year (especially if outdoors). You can start looking at dresses and collecting images of dresses and aspects you like. Then about a year before the wedding would be good for any appointments, figuring about six months for many designers to have the dress ready and several months, if needed, with alterations.

It's definitely not too early to start looking! I would just hold off on making a final decision until about a year out.

Ours is in june 2025…we will begin shopping around next week for the next 3 months before deciding.
