Is it too soon to do a hair trial??

Emly, on May 20, 2019 at 1:44 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

Alright ladies I am close to my 365 day mark for my wedding!! Smiley laugh

I've been thinking about doing a hair trial soon, preferably around June 6th to see how my hair will hold up around those temps. Another reason I want to do it so soon is that i live in a small town and I have an option of 3 salons in my area and know of 2 other weddings the same day as mine in the same town LOL. So i want to be able to have GOOD options Smiley xd . Is it dumb to get it done so soon??

It's not dumb if you keep in mind you may have to pay for another trial if your tastes change. I would also be sure about the policy of the salon. I know some salons require a trial or the day of hmu is more expensive. I would be sure that if a salon you'd like to use has a similar rule, there isn't a specific timeframe to follow. If you do your research, I don't see the harm!

Ok, thank you!! I've talked to all three salons and they all have pretty much the same policy and price within $5 or so. None of them charge the $200 dollars i see some brides pay for so i am so thankful about that LOL

It might be a bit early.

I did mine at eight months because I had to travel out of town and that’s when I could do it. She said I just have to keep growing my hair to get the full look I want, it’s driving me crazy already and six months to go!

As long as you don't have plans to drastically change or grow your hair, go for it. Though if you know you want a particular stylist, you can usually book the date before doing a trial. But I did my trial about five months in advance, just because the timing worked out well (my fiance was out of town, so I could keep it a surprise), and the only thing that might change about my hair is an inch of length. I'm pretty set on the style I want.

My stylist prefers to do trials within 4 weeks of the wedding so she remembers what she did. You could always get your hair styled for a date night by your stylist as an early “trial” then have an actual trial closer to the event

I did a hair and makeup trial 13 months out, before I booked. I was super picky, so didn't want to book without being confident. I'm doing another one next month (one month out). I paid for both, so the stylist didn't care.
