Is it weird to have no Brides made/moh and Best man/groomsmen at my ceremony?

Stephani, on January 2, 2018 at 4:38 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10

We are thinking to have no Brides made/Maid of honor and Best man/Groomsmen at our wedding ceremony since we don't have anyone in our mind to ask, but I'm not sure if that is odd for a wedding ceremony.

Someone suggested me to that my mother can be my Maid of honor and my fiancee father can be his best man, but I don't know if that is also odd.

You don’t have to have a bridal party. That’s completely up to you and FH. It’s not weird at all

Nothing is odd now and days. People are stepping away from what is considered "traditional" and doing what they want. So no, it would not be weird to not have a wedding party.

I've already decided not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen at my wedding, to save cost and keep the wedding small. I've also been to large weddings that didn't have them, too. Do whatever feels right to you.

Nope not at all. We didn’t have anyone. Honestly it seems to save a lot of drama from the posts I’ve read on here about trying to find dresses, someone not being happy about things etc.

You can do either- no wedding party at all, or just have your mom and his dad up there. I've never been to a wedding without a wedding party, but it seems a lot of users here are choosing to forego it. It's a personal choice, either way.

My good friend is not having a wedding party. Honestly I feel it would make the ceremony look naked, but it is completely up to you and what you are comfortable with.

You don’t have to have a wedding party. We didn’t and are so glad we didn’t - so much less stress for us and our loved ones! Smiley smile

I'm not having a wedding party either and I think it's honestly the best decision I've made through this wedding process! It's a lot less money, stress, drama, planning, etc.
