Hi all

My grandfathet is an amazing woodworker. . he has helped me so much by making things for our wedding and saving us a ton of money. One idea he had was to make tic-tac-toe games out of wood (they look pretty neat), stick a number under one chair at each table, have the dj announce everyone reach under their chairs and who ever has a ribbon the chair gets to keep the tic-tac-toe game on the table. Is that odd? I'm trying to make sure our wedding is unique (our theme is vintage/rustic)

HELP! Any other ideas of how we could go about giving them out?

No. It's not weird. If someone feels bummed that they didn't get it, someone else will always be willing to give it to that person or someone like a parent that might appreciate it more. And in the same instance, someone might not feel like it's appropriate for them and they'll give it to a parent or little kids. Honestly, think about this...whenever I go to a wedding, I'm happy for the couple to get married and I just want to have a good time. Favors are really not on my mind nor are they my priority. Don't let people send you into thinking too far into this. Weddings are a celebration of love and a good time.

It's not "weird" at all. It's your wedding so do whatever you please to make it unique to you and your fiance. There are no set rules as to what you can or cannot do on your wedding day so I say go for it! You could possible wrap the tic-tac-toe game in beautiful wrapping paper that matches your theme colors and with a nice bow. I couldn't think of anyone more special to me than my Grandpa to be making these awesome surprises.
