Is it worth it to buy wedding reception favors?

It's not necessary at all. We are doing them, but only because they will be used during the wedding. We are serving bottled beer, so we are having personalized koozies as our favors. That way our guests can use them during the wedding and take them home afterwards. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't of done any favors.

You don't have to do them. I had the same thought process but I decided to d something everyone will hopefully keep. We are making homemade chocolates and I bought fridge magnets on Etsy with out names, date and a little thank you saying on them.

It’s not necessary. We did the photo booth print outs as our favors as we expected anything else to be tossed. People had a blast with the photo booth and had pictures to keep as a reminder!

You don't need them at all. However, if you want to have them you can and can try to have them double as something else. For us our favors are also being used to indicate the table assignments for our guests!

I designed bookmarks that we can get printed for around $30 or so. That way those who read will have a new bookmark, if some get tossed it won’t matter because they were cheap, and if we have extras then yay we have plenty of bookmarks for our own bookmark needs.

We aren't doing a favor because we opted to give a late night snack instead. With our crowd, I can see that being more appreciated and it will also help soak up the alcohol in everyone's systems so the venue will be happy as well! I almost never take home favors from weddings and didn't want to spend money on something that would be wasted.

Nope. That's the easy answer. We're doing hand written notes to put at each person's place setting telling them how thankful we are they came and how much we love them.

It's not necessary unless you want them. If I do them they'll be edible.

I'd rather save the money that would've been spent on favors and put it where guests will actually appreciate it - food and alcohol. Lol.

I didnt do it but if you do. Do candles, ink pens or bottle openers

We arent doing them. Such a waste of money.
We have been to wedding where there are favors and they either get left behind or thrown away

Bottle openers are not a bad day idea.
