Is my ceremony aisle too short?

Heng, on July 11, 2011 at 5:35 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 18

I am having the ceremony inside the reception hall. The aisle is about 25-30 feet long. Is this too short...? I mean, at this point, it's too late for anything, i'm 2 weeks from the wedding. Just wondering that's all lol..

@ Jen, it's more or less trying not to RUN! Towards your groom that is! My dad even said "Slow down, he'll still be at the end when you get there!"

    @ OP, It's a perfect length!

Mine will be about the same length! Are you getting an aisle runner? If so, where did you find it? The shortest length I've seen is 50ft.

Mine is about 20 feet. Don't sweat it. Heck, I am not wasting money on a runner for that length. Besides, since we had to forgo an outside fall wedding, my FH promised a runner of leaves I can "crunch" on.

LOL, no worries Heng, it happens. Just remember, no matter what, as long as you get married to your man, that's all that matters!

@ Jen, Glad I was missed Smiley winking

We went to a wedding where it was way to long and took forever to get the WP down it.

I think that's a good length. Mine is 67, and I feel like I have to walk a mile to get to the stage. Smiley smile

Haha... Mine has to be at least 100 ft long and my FMIL thinks it's too short. I don't think so at all and now I really don't think so! But she's used to Catholic churches that are big and have LONG aisles... my Presbyterian church is fairly wide so it's not as long. Smiley smile Just walk really slow so that people can take pics! (Remember the one-together-two-together from Father of the Bride? Smiley smile )

I never measured my aisle, but I suspect it was about 25 feet, if that much. People will be delighted not to have the processional go on forever.
