Is my dress too short?

Cassie, on July 10, 2015 at 1:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

Hi Ladies! So, today I had the urge to try on my dress and accessories, just...because. I had some alterations in the bodice of my dress, but not the length. There is A LOT of tulle. But today I noticed that it might be too short. When I tried on the dress with shoes at the alterations place, it was on carpet, so I think I didn't see the length as much as I do on a tile floor. I'm wearing a 4" heel, so I could just get different shoes...but I kinda love the shoes. A hint of sparkle Smiley smile

So, questions is... is it too short? Should I just get a 2" heel? Or do I stay as is?

The pictures are SUPER grainy! It was hard to get a shot, by myself, where it looked head-on.

@ChristineKyle1108 - that's basically how I feel! There are so many layers of tulle...when I walk it all sort of swirls around me so you can't tell. It's just when I'm standing still that made me think.

It kind of looks like it is that length on purpose to show off your shoes. I think it looks fine.

It's a little short but it looks deliberate and it's nice how your shoes peep out. I wouldn't stress about it.

Nobody will notice. And when you take your shoes off it will end up being a good length and you wont trip over your dress

I kind of like it, it looks on purpose so that you don't trip and that there's a little peek of your shoes.

I think it looks fine. But seriously, a short dress is better than a long dress. When I took off my heels, I was tripping all over the place!

I think I'm just going to leave it. When I walk, you can't notice it. When I stand during the ceremony, I'm going to keep one leg straight and the other bent a bit (to prevent shaky knees) and when I do that, the dress almost brushes the floor. It'll be ok!

TBH, it took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about...I couldn't see it.

Mine was like that too, and it was perfect. I didn't trip on it all day! I think you're fine.

I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. I don't think your guests will either.

I personally prefer to not have my shoes show. If you cant tell when you're moving, I think it is fine with the shoes you plan to wear now. I doubt your guests will notice, and if they do, they'll see fab shoes!
