Is my engagement ring too thin?

I have had my e-ring for about 4ish years. I have been wondering if the band is too thin. Would a thinner band between both rings help protect it?
I know it’s yellow—I need to get it replated soon. Any advice or thoughts is much appreciated.

No, I also have a thin band. It has held up pretty well. I just like to think of it as dainty.

Of you are worried about it ask to have the shank built up. This is very typical for a jeweler to complete.
