Is our wedding on June 20 taking a risk?

Shara, on March 24, 2020 at 3:51 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
So I’m getting married June 20, 2020... or so I thought? It’s and outside wedding with around 100 people. Is it too soon to tell or do you recommend we postpone? I was really stoked on the date.... first world problems, I know. But we’ve worked so hard. 💔 Thoughts?

Definitely not wrong to feel disappointed you might have to change all your plans, it’s stressful! Have you spoken to your venue and vendors about a back up date? I don’t think anyone knows how long this will last so it can’t hurt to have a good idea of your options.

I don't think you have to make a decision yet, but I think it would be smart to start looking into your options.

I would postpone now if I were you... This will most likely be what you will have to do anyway, better to get ahead of it than be disappointed and scrambling to cancel/reschedule. I would also really worry about RSVPs as they will either come in very late or you will get a lot of "no" responses...

I don't think you should postpone or change anything just yet but depending on how things pan out, you might have to later. I would try not to worry too much about it right now. You still have some time.

June 27th bride here! I'm not postponing (yet). I'll wait until end of April to make that decision. But you could start contacting your vendors to find out your options.

Hi Shara! I've heard a lot of June brides are waiting a few weeks and monitoring their local situation, but it also never hurts to be proactive about figuring out what plan b looks like!

Here are a few active discussions I've seen with other June couples sharing their concerns:
