Is there a photo you wish your photographer captured but missed?

I'm sure this is different for everyone but did you have a must have moment missed by your photographer? I want to learn from others so I can talk with my photographer about my must have photo list.

We had a shortlist but our photographer forgot it in the hotel room... one shot we really wanted but didn't get was a close up of our rings on! We also didn't get a shot of the boutonnière on the groom, a shot of the back of my dress/detail on the gown, or a veil photo. Bummed but we might end up doing some additional wedding attire photos later this year and get those shots then.

A picture of my and my bridesmaids showing the backs of our dresses. My girls had beautiful low hanging back sequin dresses that I would have loved a pic of.

I don't have just one photo sorry but..

    - outside of our venue was all lit up at night and it would've been nice to get a few shots under all the lights.

    - more bride and groom photos in this one area of our venue. We only did a couple and walked away and I was most excited about this backdrop area. When I got my photos back they're my favorite and some of the other areas we took pics in I could've done without. I wish I would've mentioned it before or during.

-me and both moms and H and both dads

We thankfully were able to get our photo with all the guests! My word of advice on doing this is to try and find some type of higher vantage point for the photographer if possible... stairs, a balcony, etc. to make sure everyone can be seen.

We did have a group shot of all of our guests. That was something very important to my husband so...

Although I didn't have one with JUST my parents. I had one of my immediate family.

Well my photographer showed up self medicating an injury that occurred the week of my wedding, so I have a lot that got missed lol. But to keep it short, the ones I wish I had aside from the obvious would be a picture of just my parents together, a picture of the piece of my mom's dress I sewed into mine, and a picture of my husband when he first saw me.

I wish that in our bridal party pics, we got some of the girls with their bouquet and some with me and my bouquet.

I didn't get one shot of just me and H from the front without a bouquet. It wasn't on the list and honestly I didn't think about putting my flowers down, but I bought a double frame for the invitation and one of us facing the camera and didn't have a full shot of the front of my dress with just H.

We are skipping detail shots and getting ready shots. The most important pictures to me are of people. Me with FH kids, me with my Mom, first look with my Dad, FH with his mom, grandparents, dad, brothers and kids. The two of us alone, with families and kids. Then just a lot of candid shots. I'm not big on posed pictures. I'm trusting the photographer to catch the best moments naturally.

Some of the photos that were initially missed, DH and I realized after the shoot that it had been missed. There were a couple pictures that we were able to "make up for" by notifying the photographers several times that we still wanted those pictures. We didn't get all of them, but there were four we were able to prioritize and force the photographers to do. They just weren't in the outdoor setting like we had envisioned.

My advice would be that if you realize your photographer has missed something that was important to you, speak up.

My photographer did not take pictures of the groomsmen or maid of honor/best man shots... I was not impressed at all.. I LOVE our photos they came out amazing. And she did capture some amazing moments... but those are typical wedding photos that she missed...

Me neither! I didn’t think to ask but kind of expected my photographer to suggest it

A shot of us with just my hubby's parents which we somehow missed! And a shot of some of the deco that took ages to set up by a few helpers. The photographer was pretty thorough with the other deco but just missed one area. Just a bit of a shame since it took lots of effort by lots of people to set up.
