Is there an easy way to tie bows onto bubble wand?

We are trying to tie two different color strips of ribbon onto the loop at the top of the bubble wand. It is grueling. Does anyone know of an easier way to do it?

Put the 2 ribbons back to back. Double in half. Pinch them at the middle to stick through loop on wand. Slide 4 ends through ribbon loop & tighten.
