Is there such a thing as too many candles?

Kathleen , on July 20, 2016 at 10:59 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13

I'm planning on a candle-centric decor. The centerpieces will be something like this picture with the three vases and floating candles. The venue will also provide 3 votives per table. I'm wondering if I should add an additional 3-4 tealights per table? We are only allowed to use LED candles and I'm worried this might be too bright or annoying. They will be wrapped in black lace so that may diminish the brightness a bit. Any suggestions?? The tables will be round, though I'm not exactly sure on the size - they will likely be larger than the standard to fill the space better.

I love candlelight, i think it's very romantic. We had 6-10 on each, some were real candles and the others were flickering LED's. I loved it.

I love it and want to do it to. Someone told me it would heat a room up really quickly. Do you guys think that's true?

That sounds beautiful. Make sure to be careful with placement as PPs have suggested. At my mom's wedding one of the centerpieces caught on fire! Luckily someone saw it and was able to quickly and safely remove it from the room and put out the flames.

I think your centerpieces look wonderful!

Just check with your venue to make sure the fire marshall hasn't put a limit on how many live flames can be in one area without X number of extinguishers or a fireman/woman on site. It should only impact you if there's an insanely large number of candles but I would still check.

I wanted candles galore, but then I found out the fire codes or something changed and we couldn't have any open flames so now I'm a little disappointed, I don't love the look of LEDs.

I don't think there's any such thing as too many candles, though!

Too many candles? No such thing! And if someone tells you it is, you don't need that kind of negativity!!!
