Is this a good bridesmaid gift?

Is this a good bridesmaid gift? 1
I have always wanted one of these, but it felt like too much of a splurge for me. However, I thought it might be a good gift for my bridesmaids. I think anyone could use a travel makeup bag/jewelry box, right?

I'm wondering if this is a good gift that women would use. I'm also wondering if it's bad that the girls would all be getting the same gift. I would be putting a unique pair of earrings in the bottom of each girl as well. But it isn't the same as "shopping for her like it's her birthday"

I have this exact organizer and I use it ALL the time!! I can’t tell you how many people have asked me where I got it! I can’t imagine any gal not living this gift! And bonus: you can have them monogrammed too!

If you think they would like it then go for it. I would probably donate that to a friend but that's just me.

Personally, I would love to receive this gift as a bridesmaid, especially with a pair of earrings inside!

If this is something you think all the women would like, then it looks like a nice gift. I personally never wear makeup so I would have no use for it, but that's just me.

There may be 1 or 2 it would be nice for. I got one from clinique, came from 2 of things bought, game to my oldest daughter, her little kit to take on sleepovers. The one from a book place, supposed to hold 2 paperbacks, sunglasses, sunscreen and a folding cup to my middle daughter, the clip holds on her bike, A travel kit and big makeup kit from a big retailer, my youngest uses for paper dolls. The thing about one size fits all gifts is you get lots as free samples, or gifts little kids can get you. But for doing a special thing where you likely have spent time- I have never spent less that 10 hours preparing and cooking for a shower, and with each bride doing at least something else, addressing the invitations with this one, free simple alteration that takes bride two 15 min fittings but takes 4 hours to do, plus the wedding, sometimes rehearsal and Dinner, it would be nice to get something that seems like the bride took 10 minutes to think of what I need or want, and not something you usually get as a throwaway from a company, or a hostess gift from a stranger your dinner guest is dating. Robes I never wear even for pics at the wedding, that go to goodwill unless daughters want material to cut for doll clothes. MOH Shirts to cut up for nice cotton polishing rags to do the silver, hard sunglass cases and lets not forget 20-30 pillar candles a year, in a household with 5 kids and 3 big dogs, take to Goodwill or give to neighbors for power failures. Endless 3 bottles of wine in boxes from people who offer us only beer or cocktails when we visit, because they know neither of us drinks it, but they were buying for 5, and everyone else likes wine... If a friend close enough to ask you to be BM cannot
get you a CD of music they know you like, or remember you cannot wear stainless earring posts or other metals besides silver and gold, and gives another pair of earrings or a bracelet to give away, when she has gotten it right for numerous birthdays and holidays???
🙂 We got over 200 off registry sizeable wedding gifts, and only one was not something we use and appreciate. People who know us well, and with a little time and thought, something nice. But since this TV fad of a bunch of proposal gifts ( none needed or wanted, or maybe a flower would be nice. And never wanted or needed robes or shirts for getting ready pictures, always unwelcome, and all alike jewelry I would never, to then get a couple more little things for all, feels like the bride just cannot be bothered. A traditional one gift, purchased or made, like you would choose for a birthday, or Christmas, that goes with your personal clothing colors and styles, taste in music, things for your hobbies, books of interest, makes you feel like that good friend you have been for 10 years, not an interchangeable rent a model for a day. 1 nice gift, not 6-10 anonymous little ones that are totally unmemorable, and mostly go to Goodwill. Forget the advertisers pitch to buy and give something every time you turn around. Just one personal gift. Year before this past one, hubby got 4 flasks, 4 ties , 4 tie clasps, one piece of felt to fit his card table, and a new cooler. Loved the felt, loved the cooler. 4 times groomsmen ( one the felt) and twice best man, ( one the cooler, an 6 glass beer mugs from MOG for helpfulness.) Guess which 3 gifts he kept?. He says this little gifts must be the bride's ideas, because he always used to get one nice personal gift. Please, get just one nice gift that is just for them, suits their taste and interests.

I completely understand and largely agree with your perspective, but this gift is a high-quality travel case. I don't think it's the same as a free gift from clinique (which is pretty much what I personally use now) or a $15 silk robe with bridesmaid on the back

Usually it is a out $30 bags or $45-60 robes or $10 t shirts with something on them a d $20-45 jewelry.
But still, if it is something not picked according to colors you wear, or a shorty robe you would nevet wear, or a type jewelry ypu would not wear, a waste. None of these are terrible things, if you get them in colors they would choose, and know they do not have them. Things people check if they can, for personal birthday gifts. Which is why people advise buying that way. And not an endless stream of little things. Just think of one, nice, personal one.

It’s a nice bag and a cool idea. If I got one I probably wouldn’t use it though. Just preference, I have a travel organizer I use and I already have a ton of little baggies/pouches. the only time i could imagine myself maybe using it is for quick over night trips with just a carry on (I don’t do this often) or once I have a kid in the diaper bag.
But, if you think it is something your girls will love and use, I say go for it! Because like I said it’s a nice bag 😊

That is something I’d use a lot & would find it very thoughtful. You know your ladies- would try like something like this?

It's a cool idea as long as all the girls would like it. For example, I don't wear makeup or much jewelry, and don't bring any extra jewelry when I'm traveling. For me, this would just go in a cupboard and I would forget about it until a couple years later when it would either get donated or maybe sold in a garage sale. My sister, on the other hand, would probably be super stoked for something like this. If this is something all your ladies would like, then I say go for it! I think it's fun to give them all something that is the same (the bag) coupled with something different (the different earrings for each girl). It kind of says, "Hey, we're all in this together, but you each bring something unique and wonderful to the table."

Those look like high quality travel cases that will last for years. I love the monograms, and having a pair of earrings inside as a surprise tops it all off. This is a great gift

Those look very nice, but I would not do that for everyone unless you know for a fact they would actually use it. I would not use this because I purposely don't pack makeup and jewelry when traveling.
