Is this a reasonable price for Bridesmaid dresses?

I am having my girls in long to the floor chiffon navy blue dresses with black lace. They're $275 with 20% off each one. I'm contributing $50 to each as I feel that I should on top of their gifts that includes a Coach wristlet, personalized satin robe, personalized compact mirror, bracelet and a few...

Is this fair? Thoughts?

**update: this is CANADIAN pricing.

Also, I'm not justifying the price of the dress by expressing the gifts. Read what I wrote carefully, I am mentioning the gifts in regards to the $50 I am helping to subsidize for the dresses.

LOL... I'm shocked too... Although it was nice to hear how much different States are willing to spend on Bridesmaid dresses.

The average here in Toronto Canada is around $150-$300.

Ehhhh I'm from Toronto area. I dont think you should go by any average. As MANY people have said.. it should be what your friends are willing to spend, and IMO.. the lower the cost to them, the better. I sure as hell wouldnt be spending $300 on a BM dress... CND or USD! Lol

The dresses are very pretty. However, you should talk to each girl individually as to how much she can afford. She may not be able to afford $175 just for the dress as you are contributing $50. I wouldn't be able to afford that to wear it one time.

The original dresses I found were $260 and we were able to locate them on a different site for $159
