So I go a phone call today from a lady by the name of Amanda from culinary brides saying that I have won some gifts and to hurry and call because she can only hold them for a short time. It was from a blocked number so I didnt answer it. I called the number that she had left on my voice mail and they said she wasnt availible. I left my phone number for her to call back but they never did. I regret giving them my number. Is this a scam?

Notice to everyone in any situation:

"I can only hold for a short time" and/or "this offer will end very soon!" and/or "you must by now!

RED FLAG! These are high-pressure tactics to commit before you have the chance to review the company. Any reputable company knows they are reputable and will invite you to check them out before committing.

    Calls from a blocked number:

RED FLAG! Why is it blocked? What are they hiding? Any reputable company will have a phone number than can be googled.

SCAM SCAM . My fiance' and I attended. They had me completely convinced that this would help me as I have been sick with stomach issues for quite sometime. We were so excited to of maybe found something that was going to finally help, we placed the order. After leaving there, the next night I decided to do a little research on it... I felt something odd. I am so glad I did. BBB had so many complaints against them and there is another site called ripoff and the things that was said we're "wow". Lucky I read how to cancel. As long as you canceled with in the first 3 business days, of your sgow, now of course you have to send them the back of the receipt signed, dated, ext I am one to make copies of everything

I certified the letter, receipt requested so there would be no priblems. They tried to say they did not get it and that I had to send it to them directly, it was a mess, but because I had the proof of sending it, not to mention calling the 800# they had no choice but to send me my check back and tear up the contract. We did get to keep free all the stays and rings, flutes, the groceries, and knife set as long as you sent that little fee. All I will say is please BEWARE! !!

TOTALLY NOT A SCAM!!!!!! My fiance and I went to the demonstration, bought the 23 piece set and got all of the perks offered and an extra passport to value certificate and a 8 day 7 night hotel stay for four. I love my new cookware and the coupons are freakin awesome if your a couponer. yay! seriously though, if you went to a bridal show and signed up at a small raffle table that had rings and china on it, thats who is calling you. TOTALLY LEGIT!!!!!!

Ok this is my experience with them:

i too received the call. i went with my fiance and listened to their presentation. we were sold since we did need the cookware.......then regretted it because it was really expensive (we financed it) anyways the products themselves are really good. Normally you get the wedding bands or the trip for going alone, if you buy you get a lot more. We got the bands, the trip, a cruise, and a 5 day vacation as well.. i havent reedemed anything yet and its been almost a year. The cookware we paid $66/ month for six months and then $123.00 til the end of the loan, if you stop paying they will take you to court and take your assets to compensate for the debt. you dont have to buy anything if you dont want and still get the gift. so far i dont think its a scam and ive been paying on itf or quite a while. once i book my vacation i will see if itreally is a scam or not when it comes to that i know the wedding bands are not yo pay $50 for secured shipping but thats not bad.

My fiance and I went. You sit through a 90 min presentation about cookware that they want you to buy. But you do get a $800 gift certificate for JV Jewelry for rings. We also got the gift certificate to a hotel for 2 nights.

This is most definitely NOT a scam! I went to a bridal show knowing there would be lots of different booths there that had prizes to be won. Little did I know I would later get a call saying I won just for showing up. It was very short notice, I got the call 2 days before the weekend of the presentation, and I had to be accompanied by my fiance. Now, we went in knowing there would be some kind of sale going on but he told me I couldnt buy anything lol. The presentation was just great and the man giving it was just as great. He knew that most people came in not wanting to but thing and he didnt pressure anyone into it. At the end of the "show" he gave us options of picking 2 different vacation packages. One was to the Bahamas, D.R., or Mexico, those trips were all inclusive the other trip was just for hotels all over the U.S. we also got the ring gift card and the coupons. The only thing we would have to pay for would be a few taxes and small things like that. Nothing compared to 3 days all inclusive in the Dominican Republic. At the end of the day it will be your choice, but i say go for it. You cant lose, and if you come out deciding you want the cookware, which I really did, then you get an added bonus.

Unfortunately my fiance and I fell victim to a scam like this. We purchased a portion of the cookware because of a "Passport to Value" coupon membership. The salesman pushed the idea that you could save 50% on flights and travel. They tell you if you don't purchase the cookware at that moment you wont be eligible. It is a high pressure scam and it is exactly that, a SCAM!!! The coupon membership isn't worth the envelope it came in. The cookware isn't bad at all but it isn't worth what we paid for it. STEER CLEAR of this scam!!!! It was brought to us by Bridal Registry.

I was a little reluctant to post this because I do feel stupid for getting got by these people. I only posted this to try to save anyone that might be thinking that this is legit. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

Just did this exact thing today, left without buying anything with a gift card for two free wedding bands. It's worth it I think. The presentation was no pressure and the guy was very funny.

After reading the reviews it looks like some people did have a high pressure experience. This wasn't our experience, but it probably really depends on the sales person that you get.

I went to this with my fiance tonight. It's not exactly a scam, but it is high pressure. They have you in a room with 3-4 other couples and try to sell you, in a charming way, that you need their product. They do this by dissing other companies and trying to prove that everything else out there is crap or dangerous (he literally tried to tell us that cooking with non stick pans will kill your baby). Despite everything, the product looked solid and we discussed possibly buying it or something similar in the future once we're more fiancially stable, but spending or financing $3000 for some pans and knives didn't make sense for us right now, especially when we hadn't even heard of the company or discussed a need for new cookware. Our salesman, Rick, was charming in the presentation and pretty funny so it wasn't a bad way to spend 90 minutes, he tried to sell us on a life by preying on the dreams of newly engaged couples, but showed his true (and very rude) side when we told him we couldn't commit to buying anything this evening (you will not get the 40% off deal if you don't buy their products right then). He had no time for us if we weren't buying right that second and shut us down when we tried asking for a website or something more to look at for the future. In the end, we got our certificates for a free 2 night stay, but I wouldn't recommend going unless you have $3000 extra bucks lying around for something unnecessary or if you want the prizes and you dont mind two faced salesmen who only care about making a buck.

No it IS a scam. All of these sweet brides are telling u no because they have not used their gifts yet.... the free trips are from odenza marketing group. They are a timeshare but what is worse is typically you dont even get that far. They make you pay a $100-500 deposit before receiving trip information then suddenly..... nothing. They go missing. The presentation was fun just cause the salesman was nice. But yes they become suddenly not nice after you aren't buying. Long story short. The gifts (the trips at least) are a scam. And i cannot vouch either way for the culinary items sold as i did not buys them.

I received the same call from Dinner 4 Health Direct on Monday after attending a bridal show last month. My fiance and I signed up and attended the demonstration last night. We were skeptical as well and I did my research before going. Still planning our wedding we didn't want to spend a ton of money on cookware but after seeing the amazing presentation and how wonderful the cookware is plus a lifetime warranty we bought our 8 piece set on the spot. We look at it as an investment in our health and marriage. We love to cook and cooking at home is cheaper than eating out. The money we save on eating out in just a few months will pay for our cookware. Plus we left with a ton of gifts; 3 day all inclusive vacation (minus our airfare and transportation), one week vacation (some are inclusive some are just hotel), rings, 2 knives, engraved champagne flutes and a passport to savings for entertainment, food, groceries, travel. Obviously nothing is 100% free but the small amount we'll spend for taxes, airfare or s&h is nothing compared to what one vacation would cost out of pocket. And we were never pressured once during the presentation. Our guys was funny and informative but never pushy or rude. We were more than pleased and can't wait to try our new cookware. Really the only loss is 90 minutes of your time if you go and aren't pleased.

So me and my Fiancé went to this 90min presentation. The product was amazing but very expensive. At the beginning of the presentation the host Dominiqe P. said if you don't buy I will not chase or pull your arm. After the presentation 2 couples declined and she became nasty and aggressive with her words towards them. I agreed to buy just so I didn't have to go through the same so I post-dated a payment. As soon as we got home I cancelled it all together. -What a shame-
