Is this seat taken?!

Nobody will think twice about your chairs or what they look like. They will just be happy to have a place to sit down.

I personally hate those style chairs as well and would rather have a plain farmhouse style chair or even nice white folding chairs. I would want to switch them out but would consider the price to do so - for me the upgrade would be worth a few hundred dollars, but not thousands.

I want the gold ones, they match my theme better (ivory, gold, and sage). But are they worth the $500?

I care more about the chair being comfy than pretty. Once people are seated, no one cares what they look like.

Our venue didn’t have any chairs, so we got to choose our own. We went with wooden crossbacks. I wouldn’t have wanted the standard chairs with covers/sashes, even if they had been available. But it’s really up to you, your style, and your budget!

I also can not stand the chairs at my venue I think it is a common issue. They are a burgundy-ish bright red. I am having a spring wedding that could never be a spring color. I am choosing to ignore then and focus on other decor and to not try to match them as they are nowhere in my color scheme or design. I don't think anyone will notice them tbh. It is better to try to draw attention to thing that you do like and make them look your best then to cover up something you don't like. The real question is why do venus pick out chairs that are not basic colors that will go with everything. Or get the chairs that they know everyone like. Lol also why don't they leave lights up year around so every bride doesn't have to pay someone to put up lights. Lol

Our venue used gold and green banquet chairs and although we didn't need the added expense to upgrade to the chiavari chairs, I just couldn't get past the way the banquet chairs would look in photos. We wound up springing for the pretty chairs and I am glad we did, they look beautiful in the pictures.

I hate those chairs too and vowed not to have them at my wedding. Thankfully, our venue has different chairs. They're still not the best to me but as long as they're not those chairs, I'll live. Here's what ours looks like:
