Is this too small?

Me and my FH got our rings this weekend and I got the same size wedding band as my engagement ring, assuming it would be the right size. I've been putting it on and I think it makes my finger kinda look like a stuffed sausage... pics in comments! ETA:words

Both rings are waaaaaay too small. Your skin isn't supposed to be bulging like that. It needs a good fit.

Rings fit tighter both when you stack rings and when a ring has a wider band.

It's a pretty band, but get it resized.

I have noticed that my e-ring is a lot looser now than it was when my fh proposed in the winter. The jeweler said my fingers would swell a bit in the winter. So if its a bit tight now, it could be tighter in the winter.

Agreed with PP who said the ring that's on first should be a smidge bit bigger because of where it sits on your hand. Also, do you live in a place that is ridiculously hot/humid when you tried on your rings? Your body tends to swell more in the heat. I have a ring that is snug right now because it's over 98* here. But in the winter, it slides off pretty easy. I'd put that into consideration as well.

It looks too small definitely. I am not sure if it is the same size as the e-ring, but thicker/wider rings tend to need to be a 1/2 size different than a skinnier ring.

When I picked out my wedding band my jeweler had us go 1/2 size bigger because he said doing it the same size is a lot of stress for your finger because its all on one area. You have enough time to resize it though at least! you want everything to be as comfortable as you can for your day Smiley smile

I ordered 3 different bands before getting it right (both in liking it and having it fit). 3rd time's the charm and the 3rd time I ordered a whole size up from my E-ring. What's up with bands being off in size anyway?

Agreed with PP. We went to get FH sized for his band at a jeweler the other day. He told us that you need to get two different sizings, one for a thin band (in our case the e-ring) and one for a thick band (in our case a wedding ring). For example, FH is 10 thin and 10.5 thick.

Whatever ring I wear on top...has to be sized up a bit. Just the way it is with me...

It looks a bit small. And if your hands are like mine, they swell depending on how I sleep or the weather, it would be really uncomfortable if it's already too small

Yes, the tightness detracts from the beauty of both rings.

It looks too small, I got my wedding band the same size as my engagement ring from the same seller, but for whatever reason my band felt smaller. I had it sized up by .5

My finger is naturally a little bulgy without my e-ring on so it probably makes the band issue worse. But my e-ring does fit properly, it is very comfortable and does not pinch. But I think I am going to talk to FH about going back and getting a half size up for the band

I see what you mean. I would see if you can resize the band up. The e ring looks like it's a good fit so that's weird to me.

I was told to always size up half a size when stacking rings because of the added squeeze factor.
