I wouldn't get uplighting for a wedding ending at 7. I got uplighting but my wedding ends at 1. I wanted it to have club feel when the dancing started.

I think it depends on the venue. Some venues actually look better without the uplighting.

I 100% don't think it's necessary. I'm still not even sure if I like it or not, but it's included in my DJ package (my DJ and his wife own the venue). I'll probably request that it's subtle. With a 7pm end time, I don't think you need it. I agree to put that money towards more important things. Never have a left a wedding and thought "damn, that uplighting made that wedding"

I love the look of uplighting, and our venue actually has permanent uplighting with a bunch of different settings. We aren't paying extra. Our reception is also later in the evening.

I NEED up lighting because our. Enid has chandeliers that look kinda yellowish. So I want to rent blue or purple lights. But my reception will end at midnight

Im having it. It came with the dj but my reception starts around the time yours ends. If mine ended at 7 I would definitely not be getting it.
