Chicago brides!

Has anyone had an issues in the initial stages with planning their wedding with Shedd Aquarium? I was told that our event proposal was supposed to be to me Friday last week and nothing. Then today I was told today and I had to
follow up several times and was told today before 5 and nothing again.

Getting frustrated already and it’s stressful because I can’t talk any numbers with my fiancé or family if we don’t even have that proposal.

Congratulations on your engagement Meredith!
I’m sorry that you are feeling frustrated with this venue. I know you must have a lot of planning to do, so getting this organized is a top priority.
Would it be possible to phone them and talk to the wedding coordinator there? By speaking in person, you will be able to express your concerns and the urgency of getting this proposal as soon as possible.

Luckily this got resolved last night! Ended up getting everything I needed by midnight last night so I appreciate that this happend. May have been overstressed due to our upcoming vacation and all but I finally got our event proposal

Glad to hear! They have their big annual fund raiser on July 27th. Being 24 days away, I suspect they're superrrrrr busy with that.

You might also check reviews and see if this is just timing or normal. I can't imagine that it's "cheap" to get married there so I wouldn't want to have to wait to speak to people about things. Sales people and event coordinators could be different people though..
