Italian micro wedding

Hello,

I recently became engaged in November of 2021 and I’m finally getting around to planning. Has anyone planned a destination wedding or elopement in Italy? Did you have a planner or find an all inclusive package? We’re trying to price things and analyze the cost vs a local wedding in Texas. The ceremony/reception would only have 16 people total sometime between May-July 2023.

That sounds amazing!! I'd look for an all-inclusive wedding package or a great wedding planner to help you figure everything out and connect with local vendors!

Our original plan was to get married in Italy with about 10-15 guests. The cost ended up being about the same as our wedding in TN (50 guests). If recall correctly (it’s been a year since we looked at that option), it was about $12k. I do not remember if the estimate included hotel stay, but it did not include flights. There’s also some crazy paperwork involved. Of course you can get around that if you get legally married in the US & just have a ceremony in Italy (we didn’t want to do that).
The 1st time I got married, it was a destination wedding in St. John (all inclusive) w/30 guests. That was about $10k, not including flights & honeymoon stay, but it did include wedding night lodging. I think a lot would also depend on the specifics of what you want. There were just things we didn’t want to sacrifice.
