Never been to Greece, but I've been to Italy, and it was one of my all-time favorite vacays. So much to do, see, and taste! The food and wine are out of this world.

I've also never been to Greece, but I did thoroughly enjoy Italy! Smiley smile

The only complaint I have about Italy is that I did not enjoy Venice all that much. I found it to smell of sulfur (from sewage) and diesel fumes from all of the boat traffic. Oh and I've never seen so many pigeons in my life than I did in Venice! lol

Greece is definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. I feel like you can't go wrong with either choice! Good luck. Smiley smile

We debated between Italy and Greece, too (as well as a few other places) and ended up with Greece (Athents, Naxos, Santorini)

Italy would have kept us a little busier than we wanted to be on our honeymoon (so much to see!) and would have been a bit over budget to stay at places we would have liked to stay for our honeymoon.

Greece is my favorite place in the world. The islands, the people, the food, the sun... I'm planning on buying a house there when I retire lol

I've only been to Rome and I was not a huge fan. I would personally not go back - it's like a been there, done that, for me. But I've heard other places are nicer.

That's a tough one. We want to do both one day. I think when the time comes to pick one we are going to make a decision based on which one is having a deal around that time, if there is something special going on and how much time we have. I've been told the Greek Islands takes up a week of your time.

I have been to both and love them both so you can't go wrong either way. I do feel like Greece would be more relaxing (assuming you spend a brief time in Athens then hit an island or two) so I think your decision comes down to if you want something more low key, beachy, etc. or if you want to do more tourist things.

We picked Italy. The food was a big plus for us.

However, I am so sick of planning this wedding AND 7 day honeymoon, I wish we would of picked an all-inclusive resort. But I wanted to go to Italy soo bad.

My mom has been to both and she said Italy all the way. She said it was just the atmosphere. And the food and wine were amazing.
