I never thought i would have baby fever this bad and part of me is annoyed with myself because I want to enjoy this time where we can sleep, have more $$ and go anyplace at the drop of a dime. My husband wants a child but definately doesn't have baby fever. Is this a female thing and it is because...

I'm with ya! We had always said no honeymoon babies, then on our honeymoon my H said lets do this, (he's 35 I'm 32). I thought I could be one of those people that casually tried, but that is really not me. I've gotten all the fertility test thingys, and there is so much thought that goes into it!! I just thought we'd try and it would happen, but so far i'm not pregnant OR ovulating, and I have zero patience.

Thanks for the pre seed tip!

Preseed is really gross, Maltese. I have heard Conceive Plus is better, I bought some to try after Preseed but then got pregnant before we needed it. Preseed is really watery and dries soooo gross. Only use it if you really need lube (since regular lubricants are a no go for TTC). If you already have fertile CM and don't need lube, don't bother. You also put it inside of you and wait a few minutes, so it's not exactly sexy to use either!

You can also use cough syrup to improve CM quality if needed.

I am in the same boat as you. We are now actively trying. But since we are both older, late 30's I'm def concerned that it may take us longer. And the wait is killing me. Ugh. I'm really hoping that maybe we will get lucky and have a honeymoon baby. I'm hoping to find out this weekend if anything magical happened. Finger crossed, but at the same time I'm trying to be realistic and not get my hopes up and have patience.

We've been talking about TTC after the wedding in August. I wasn't really "feeling" it for a while, I like having FH all to myself lol. But at Christmas my brother and his FW were down with my year old nephew, and I didn't have baby fever around him even though I spent a ton of time with him. But as soon as Christmas was over and we had to say goodbye til August, I was more heartbroken leaving the baby than anyone else. He kept reaching out to me and FH and it crushed my heart lol.

We're definitely baby people, it's just such a HUGE thing to decide on, which is maybe why most people don't lol. There will never be a perfect time, ever. I know a couple who waited til the "Perfect" time, and had their baby. A few months later the man lost his job and the wifes father died etc etc. Life happens! If you want children go for it because you don't know how long it might take either!

Good luck Laurie let us know!

You think you are older. Lola T? I'm 42 and my husband is 41. He seems to think it will take no time at all but I am not as optimistic at this age. Good luck to all those trying and keep us posted.

Why are men so carefree about how long it will take to conceive? I'm 28, so I know not old, but my sister has been unable to conceive for 3 years now and my two friends had significant trouble trying. I know that doesn't mean I necessarily will, but I do know the reality is that it doesn't usually happen the first time around. H seems to think it'll happen right away and we will barely have to try.

You are still very young Lori. My niece and her husband started trying right away after their wedding because my niece thought it would take a while. She got pregnant on the first try and now I have a beautiful great niece. Everyone is different but the odds aren't on my side at my age. I suppose all we can do is now stress about it, enjoy life without a little one for now and hope for the best.

We were going to try for a honeymoon baby, but DH got an amazing job that may require us to live in another state for up to a year. So we both agree it was not the time... and I'm pregnant now. HAHA opps.

That's funny DMN. When are you due and do you know what you are having?
