So, are you wearing sunscreen? I'm looking for the perfect sunscreen to wear with my strapless gown. Eventhough our wedding is in December, if the sun is out, I will burn. I'm looking for something that will prevent sunburn, but absorb into my skin. I don't want gooey sunscreen on my body with my gown, veil, and jewlery sticking to it. Nightmare!! I'm going to check out EltaMD. I also want something that doesn't smell like sunscreen. I want to smell bridal, not like I'm going to the pool. I'd love to hear what you are using and doing.

Thanks Mo! ❤ Glad to know it's clear. I look like Casper the ghost with those really white ones that don't blend.

I wont be using it. We are only going to be outside for a very short period of time for pictures, and I have until August to get a nice base tan at our apartments pool! As long as I use sunscreen before the wedding and tan very slowly from now until the wedding I should be fine!

I’m more concerned about bugs than sunburn too and I hadn’t really even thought about sunscreen. I’ll give it some thought and try some of the great suggestions on here. I’m definitely going to try putting fresh lavender sachets in with my dress! Thanks for the tip!

Whatever you do choose to use, test it out with a white t shirt beforehand. I've had so many white shirts turn yellow from sunscreen, it'd be a tragedy for that to happen to your dress!! So you'll want to be sure it's one that doesn't transfer!

There are a few options- Lush has a shower sunscreen (you rub it in like a soap in the shower) that will have a nicer scent and less shiny texture than a lot of drugstore brands. Piz Buin is also a good one- light texture, non-shiny. Talcum powder/dusting powder will take the shine down on a lot of sunscreens, and you can a lot of dusting powders that smell amazing- might also help stop the sunscreen from transferring colour or making jewellery sticky!

Yes, December in the South can be warm. Need to be prepared. I have to have something scent free. Thank you, Kelly. ❤

Tara, you are an extremely lucky person!! I've never met anyone that hasn't had at least one. What is your secret? My beautiful mother had a very, dark, natural complexion, but she could still burn.

I use equate moisturizer lotion. It’s low cost but it works for me pretty well. My skin is pretty dry and it does wonders.

My wedding isn't until 3 and lots of shade, but I am worried about the mosquitoes.

Best of luck. I do not tan at all. I've not tried since probably 13. Lol!

Or you can do the sachets AND put some pure lavender oil on your ankels before your ceremony or whenever you'll be outside. I think everyone should wear sunscreen so you don't damage your skin.

Use the lavender. Mosquitoes hate it!! Our wedding is at 3 and in full sun, but in December will be a blessing. Lol!

Thanks, and I agree. I should be much better about putting sunscreen on myself and not just my kids!

You are a Mom, the kiddos always come first, but you do need to take care of yourself. Melanoma is so dangerous. Can't wait for your wedding!!
