It's time for some ring porn!

The seller told me that it had been his mother's, and was being sold after her long and happy marriage had been ended by death.

I really liked not only the look of the rings, but the stories behind them.

2d - I have my grandmothers and my aunt's wedding rings, they are timeless, one is 22 carat and the other 18k. The color of the 22 is just amazing, and because the gold is so soft it has nicks in it that are memories of my gran's life. Love them

Awww lindsay yours looks so bright and shiny! Gorgeous!!! The sand backdrop (it is sand right?) is so cool, I can't wait to have mine professionally photographed. In the meantime here are my pics from my crappy camera :-D

I love ring porn! I can't even pick a favorite. Since my wedding band is rose gold with pink diamonds I am a little partial to those but the other sparklers are beautiful too. 2nd, Love, Love, Love the background story. My husband is wearing the ring his Mother placed on his Father's hand the day they were married. They both passed away before I came along so I love that he is sentimental and wants to wear his Dad's ring.

I am going to have to get Brittani to participate in this and post a picture of her ring. Her Dad and I were divorced when she was 7 and I saved my ring for her to one day make a necklace out of the diamonds. I offered the diamond to her fiance and he wanted to just use the ring as is and not take it apart. She is now wearing the ring that symbolized the love her Father and I had for each other many years ago that eventually led to her. She did not know about the ring until a couple of weeks before her wedding. I love seeing it on her hand.

My ring

Here is my ring, adorned by the wedding band and anniversary band

I love my rings, we opted for platinum

We went ring shopping so he could get an idea of what I liked. I tried on a couple, which weren't me. I put this one on, and I got tears in my eyes. FS said is this the one and I said yes. He told the salesperson to ring it up. The wedding band was boxed up and the engagement ring stayed on my finger.

@2d bride.....Oh my, that story started my day sobbing. However, I do think I am the oldest hag on this board. ; ) I will be 50 in 2011.

I love looking at everyone's rings.

Mine...the FH searched and was on a wait list for the heart shaped diamond, rather than have the other two diamonds(representing past and present)on the same ring, he specifically wanted them separate because he wasn't sure I wanted them soddered. I have them soddered. I am also showing my ban because I have promised not to try it on again. Yes, I have kept the promise.
