I've already had guests ask to bring extra people - true or false?

Hands down, one of the most frustrating parts of wedding planning is being the guest list police! Have you already had guests ask about extra invites? Tell us if this statement is true or false for you!

No. But we are still a year out, and Jordan and I addressed our save the dates to our guests and the person we assumed they'd take. So that number is already in our headcount of how many might be there

True! My good friend has crap taste in a lot of people she spends time with and asked to bring someone I don't know at the last minute. I had to tell her no because we are already at capacity. My FW's good friend told her to give her (friend's) invite to someone else who was sitting at dinner with us in front of her!!!! It was so awkward and I am glad I was at the other end of the table because I might have lost my cool completely if not for the ability to look distracted. Then she said that she will be there but she'll have to call out so "we'll see". The other woman was so gracious when my FW talked to her later but it was not comfortable for any of us. What is with people?????

I've actually told my fiance to tell folks he does not know the location yet...because I want it to be a surprise when the invites come in the mail. Ppl ask where all the time. My family usually has more cheap weddings and I'm really splurging on a country club I think it'll up the ante in my family's weddings minds.

True. Fortunately it isn't an issue if people want to bring extra friends/family. We'll just need a final headcount closer to the date!

False. I have two young kids myself so I’m not going to say “adults only” reception Im very understanding and most the people will have their children which is fine i just need to know how many children they will be bringing and add plus 2 or plus 4 next to the couples names. Not a problem with me unless they show up then that’s a different story

False as of right now. However, our invites just went out a few weeks ago, so that might be a request we start hearing in the future. I hope not though, to me that is so rude.

We are doing a destination wedding/elopement. My youngest daughter and my FH's family are disappointed that they can't be there.

Not yet since we haven't sent invites out, but I don't really mind an additional 5-10 people as long as we don't go over the venue's capacity.

False. Not yet. We haven't sent out invitations yet but when my cousin got married she put on the response cards that she sent out, the number of people that were to come in that party. So it said:

We have reserved 2 seats for you

    _____ We will attend

    _____ We will not attend

I think this is probably the route we will take. This way there will be no questions.
