I've already had guests ask to bring extra people - true or false?

Hands down, one of the most frustrating parts of wedding planning is being the guest list police! From rogue relatives offering verbal invites, to your guests assuming they can bring a plus one (or plus five) - it can take a lot to keep your guest list under control. Have you already had guests ask about extra invites? Tell us if this statement is true or false for you!

Uuuhhhh....NO! We're trying to get the guest list down. So no one can bring any extra. We're even writing the number of guests on the response card so you know to only bring the number we set.

TRUE!!!! I’ve only been engaged 2 months and I’m not getting married for almost 3 years and someone was already like “so I can bring my boyfriend right?”. But there are NO plus ones to my wedding, oops.

False, we've offered plus ones to guests we know are in relationships and there have been no new significant others thus far.

False, and I am hoping I don't have to have that conversation with anyone.

I’ve not had this happen, but I can almost say 100% I know it will. I’m only giving plus 1’s to the bridal party and anyone in a serious relationship.

False. Have not run into this at all, nor have other friends/family in the past. People in most circles understand that weddings outside of the "church fellowship hall afternoon luncheon the entire congregation is invited to" are very expensive and limited to a select group so asking if one is invited or suggesting bringing others doesn't become a topic of conversation.

True! A close friend and my aunt. But they haven’t actually asked to bring them, they basically just told me they were going to bring someone 🤦🏼‍♀️

FALSE. Nobody did that, it was even the opposite when I encouraged them to bring a new boyfriend or kids...
