Are you guilty of telling a wedding white lie? Are you guilty of telling a wedding white lie? From fudging the truth to your parents by saying "it's too late" to change something, or telling a nosy uninvited wedding guest that you had to "keep things small" or that the guest list is "mainly family" - sometimes a little white lie can ease the awkwardness!

Have you told a wedding white lie? True or false?

Probably true.. but I can't think of anything specific. If anything, it was probably more of a lie of omission.

False... I haven't had to... I might have to regarding alcohol and our venue. The venue is technically beer and wine only, but there is no one their to monitor it so we can have a full bar if we really want. I don't really want a full bar, fiances father wants a full bar. So not sure if it will be a white lie saying beer and wine only, but I plan on sticking to the "rules"

False. My wedding... I’m not gonna lie about anything. I have some family that isn’t invited and they know it. They also know why I wont have them there.

False. I'm really thinking hard on this one, but I didn't think I have told a lie about it.

True. My FHs 17 year old sister asked to bring a plus one to the wedding. Her step sister, step brother, 2 brothers, sister, and mom will all be there. We told her our count was full. A teenager doesn't need a plus one. 😂

Is it a lie, if I haven't told my parents? I don't know how to approach the subject.

False. No need to tell lies. We're going to do it the way we want to and that's that. If someone doesn't like it, they really don't have to show up. Most people only come to weddings to eat, drink, and be nosy!

I haven’t done this year, but I’ve considered it. Problem is I’m a little too honest.

So far false. But I probably will end up telling a little lie because certain people aren't going to be invited and I don't want to hurt their feelings.

True.... I’ve told someone “sure! I’ll send you a invite to the wedding...” but I definitely will not. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

True. We have our family reunion every August with very distant family members. We’re all related way down the line but we aren’t close enough that we spend holidays together. Just one weekend out of the entire year. At the reunion this year SO MANY people came up to me and said “we can’t wait for the wedding!” So I just awkwardly would laugh and say “yeahhh” because of course they aren’t invited. We’re struggling to keep the numbers under 200 as is. Trying to do that while inviting people that I see once a year would be impossible. They’ll figure it out when they don’t get an invite in the mail I guess.
