I've told a wedding white lie - true or false?

Are you guilty of telling a wedding white lie? Are you guilty of telling a wedding white lie? From fudging the truth to your parents by saying "it's too late" to change something, or telling a nosy uninvited wedding guest that you had to "keep things small" or that the guest list is "mainly family" - sometimes a little white lie can ease the awkwardness!

Have you told a wedding white lie? True or false?

Half true? 😂 So our venue doesn’t say “No kids” but there’s an uncovered pool, steep stone steps, lots of glass windows, and we’re at the top of a mountain, so we said our venue isn’t child friendly 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’ve personally slipped and fell on those stone steps, so I KNOW little kids running around will too.

False! Our wedding is just over a year away and so far, I haven't had a reason to lie.

    Me too!

    Why lie?

That’s entirely too much work, trying to remember what you said, when and where you said it. Who has time for that?!

True. We had to tell a couple of people that they weren't invited due to guest count. Though that was partially true, we didn't want to hurt their feelings and say that they unfortunately didn't make the list to begin with.

True, I lied about how much my wedding dress cost, kind of? It was coming out of my own pocket and I had a budget for everything I needed to buy (dress, accessories, florist, and invitations). I spent a lot less on flowers so I just... shifted some to the dress 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I guess I lied but I didn’t really because I said that “it was a little more than my budget but i’m Still within my budget” (it was $300 more than my budget and I still have to do alterations, but I saved $700 on florist!)

True. I have told some lies and FH has. We have had a few family members ask what our budget was and how much we paid for things. We lied because it's none of their business.

Lol false but borderline true. I know it’s coming soon so I’m just bracing myself. Yesterday instead of telling my mom a white lie I had a good conversation and expressed how I felt so that was good.

No, not yet. I do not lie so if it hurts someone's feelings with what I say, well sorry. This is our day, and we want it the way we want it. We still love you

True. Our venue is limiting us to 35 people. I have a very large family. One of my sisters started asking about wedding plans and I had to tell her we were still figuring out the guest list (not true we’ve already sent save the dates)... but really I’m not inviting any family. Smiley surprise
