Jello Shots (NWR)

Karkov is like very VERY cheap vodka. You would never want to drink it if you didn't have to... but for whatever reason in Jello shots it works!

Hot water and vodka. Last time I made them I bought svedka Vodka. You don't want to get the cheapest because they will be gross, but you definitely don't need the most expensive either.

I just dont want them to get toooo tore up...its a 4 hr party at MY house lol

I only have 2 trays which holds 16 in total...so im guessing i need to start making those suckers 2 days in advance?

If you want a fancier, less-boozy version, do Gin and Tonic Jell-O shooters! I make them for bachelorettes and girls nights all the time. You lick the lime as you do the shot, and it tastes just like gin and tonic!

I would make about 100 for 20 people.. maybe 150? but I always make too many. I would actually probably make 200, but would only need 100-150.

PS.. thanks for letting me do something productive by helping you, it makes me fell less guilty about skipping the gym tonight.

It is going to take forever. Maybe you could make the penis ones, and then make regular ones too. only making 16 at a time, they take about 4 hours to really set, you will be doing it for 2 days straight and still only have about 120.. and thats with never leaving your house, which I am sure you don't have time to do.

Oh my....yes i guess i will have to try to get more trays or just make regular jello shots as well.

And trust me...i should be at the gym too...but im having cramps and this is much more fun!

Another question...do you leave the jello shots out or will they melt?

I put mine in ramekins (the little bitty solo cup things with lids) and throw them in a cooler for my party. you obviously can't do this. They will be OK being out for a couple hours, take them all out at first to display, and then if they are not gone within an hour or 2 put some away until you are ready for them

Haha....no kidding! its next saturday...i went shopping tonight for "pecker" decorations lol and i cant sleep because all i keep thinking about is this darn party...so excited!

You could use cupcake wrappers to hold them and also, i'd use a jello jigglers recipe instead of just the regular jello one. The jigglers hold shape much more easily. I've never made jello shots in shapes though so I'm not sure. I have made them with malibu coconut rum with a tropical jello. Pretty good but I'm a vodka girl myself so I usually use that like the other girls.

First time I made it, I did half water and half vodka... I wouldn't do more then 3/4 vodka, you might not be able to swallow them

You could also do chocolate cake shots. get some frangelica and use whatever vodka you have leftover from the jello shots, then slice up some lemon and roll the slices in sugar. take the shot, and lick the sugar off/suck on the lemon. it tastes like chocolate cake in your mouth... and yes, that's what she said

I have never made them either but I bet using Malibu with strawberry jello would be really yummy! You could always do a couple different flavors.
