Jelly wedding shoes? Opinions

Mrs. Boat, on November 28, 2010 at 6:28 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 19

Hi girls, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Smiley smile

I have been looking for flat shoes for the wedding. I decided to look for these because, being on a boat and all, I don't want to break a leg going up and down stairs on my wedding day. I was browsing ebay and I found these: JELLY flats. I think they're cute and affordable, definetly can be spiced up if needed. I haven't ever bought yelly shoes before... so, I ask: do these look like they would be comfortable to you?

I liked these 2. One is blue swirlies, the other a beige/ivory color with a bow.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this! Also, if you happen to see CUTE, non-orthopedic looking navy/deep blue flats or very low heel shoes (peep toe preferred) I would love you from here to the moon.

Y'all ahve a good night!

Here, i've been looking up low navy shoes for awhile now..what size are you, and how much did you want to spend? the first below are royal, so maybe not what you are looking for, and the 2nd may be too high for what you want..I think the jelly shoes are fun! I'm not sure how comfy they would be for all night, I guess it just depends :-)

the ones below are on zappos.com for 60 dollars..you can also go to like.com and type in your specifications, i've fond that to be the easiest..the 3rd is from 6pm.com for $40.00. Happy hunting!

Thanks! I do like the second ones Smiley smile

I'm a size 7. Flats would be ideal, but I haven't discarded low heel shoes (like the second ones). I just want to be comfortable. and not break my spine. and/or leg.

Most of the shoes I find are old people looking shoes. Sadness.

    Thanks for the tip!

Jelly shoes take me back to elementary school! All I remember is dirty, sweaty feet!

Thanks for the input girls... I for sure don't want sweaty... and no foot powder either. What could I use to get rid of that? Insoles?

All I can remember about Jelly shoes is if you get the cheaper kind they aren't so jelly anymore.. They're more like hard plastic which equals very painful blisters! Definitely something you should consider for your wedding.. Happy shoe hunting! Smiley smile

@Mom: I have been looking for ballet looking shoes as well. They all are either way too informal, the wrong shade of blue, or are $200plus dollars Smiley sad

Unrelated question to whoever knows: If I buy a dyeable shoe from say, Ebay, where do I go dye it?

Sounds like a dumb question... but I promise it's not Smiley winking

    Thanks for looking girls!

I started to bid on ebay on a pair of shoes I tried on at David's Bridal. They're called MaKenzie. Yes, they're totally not flat, but I remember them being comfortable. I was in them for at least 3 hours and my feet didn't hurt. So, I hope I get 'em! The, I can take them to DB and have them dyed a pretty color Smiley smile Also, I'm thinking of getting flat ones like above for later and dancing Smiley smile

Jelly's are cute but they make your feet sweat and stink in some cases. Just something to keep in mind

Please remember to be careful with the soles on whatever shoes you decide. The floor on a boat can become slippery when wet.....
