Jesus, take the bridesmaids wheel 😂

McKenzie, on December 16, 2019 at 7:30 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
So we bought our bridesmaids dresses off Azazie, I asked everyone to please measure and get back to me with which size they’d like. Well... one of them is a bigger gal, she’s got huge boobs, and just a full figured body- not in a bad way at all! She wanted a large and was sure she didn’t want a XL. I got the dresses today; I cannot even zip the large all the way. The site is now out of XL and I’m praying that they restock. She says she’s planning on losing “hella” weight before the wedding... I am stressing a little to say the least, red splotchiness in the photo just to show you how much fun I’m having 😬🤪Jesus, take the bridesmaids wheel 😂 1

You are rightfully stressed but at the end of the day that has her concerned. She can either lose the way as promised or she will need to pay for alterations. You need to focus on yourself and your day and they will have to get it all together.

I don’t know that the dress can be taken out enough is my concern. I tried telling her to go with an XL especially for her own comfort!

I’m sorry it’s too small! If the date in your profile is correct she has plenty of time. Like 5 of my bridesmaids ordered their dress from Azazie a month before the wedding.

Return that one and have her order custom from Azazie instead. It doesnt cost extra and the measurements will be spot on.

Valid point. She'll need to figure out something. I am sorry this is causing you stress. Maybe she can find the dress elsewhere?

Except they’re out of XL. The dress is marked down super low so it stresses me out that potentially they aren’t going to bring that dress back 😬

This is a great idea!! I’m going to see if I can do it. The dress it marked down really low so I am wondering if it’s even going to be brought back or made anymore 😬

Oh no! Well like others said this stress should be on her not you. One option could be to have a seamstress add matching dyed lace to the back to fill in where she can’t zip it up. I’m sure they can customize it somehow for her! Or if she needs to get it hemmed there would be extra fabric from that she could somehow use. Stay positive 🙂

Worst case scenario, you can probably have a seamstress add a corset back so that the back will close. They even sell corset kits on Amazon for pretty cheap.

Girl I hear ya! At least she has A DRESS. Half of my party had bought their dress and the other half haven’t and there’s 3-4 left in stock. Like just order it already!

I wouldn't worry, you have a ton of time until your wedding. I was in a wedding in 2017 and didn't try on my bridesmaids dress until a week before. Come to find out, I was no longer a 0, I was closer to a 2 or 4. The dress wouldn't zip. I spent $175 in alterations to rush order them to find a matching fabric & let it out. Everything was totally fine and the bride didn't even know.

This also happens to my neck when I stress out!!! You should have seen it when I went dress shopping. What a nightmare. I'm sure they'll restock before your wedding if August 2020 is still accurate! It's on her now. She'll either get it or she won't and she can attend as a guest. Don't stressSmiley smile
