Jewelry piece for my dress

Trinity, on June 3, 2020 at 10:51 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 14

Hello ladies,

I am having a really hard time deciding on silver/gold hair piece and earrings. My dress is ivory/ivory, but I have black hair. Most website recommends silver for ivory dress. I would buy the hairpiece and see, but the Etsy shop does not allow return or exchange.

Please help! Thank you!

I did silver with ivory only because I wanted pearl and everything with pearls was also silver metal. But I love the idea of ivory and gold, it’s so warm!

I match my jewelry with the engagement ring and wedding bands. So, I don’t have weird gold and silver (white metal) combination.

Personally I think with an ivory dress you can do any option! I am simply going with what I would normally wear, silver/white gold. My ring is platinum so I feel like yellow gold would clash with it.

You should go with whichever you like most. You can’t go wrong with either. Rose gold look would also be nice 😊

I think it would help to see what the dress looks like. My dress is a whiter shade of "ivory" and I think I'll end up going with white gold versus "gold" based on the style and color of my dress.

I like the earrings only look. The first couple pics with the heavy necklace made the model’s neckline look kinda short and stocky. With that plunging V, I think either no necklace or something dainty would work great.

I would think more about what you'd end up wanting to wear more beyond the wedding cause i think either or color works fine

I would get yourself a couple of easily returnable options. I love the bulky beads with that dress adding a pop of color. I think it really depends on what you want to accentuate. The model has a beautiful features and going with turquoise makes sense. IMO, that's a dress that requires a bulky style (not quite) choker like necklace with dangling earrings or just dangling earrings like in the one picture. That's not a style you can go "dainty" with. That dress requires a statement piece of jewelry.

Oh, thanks for your input! I def. do not like her necklace. I was just trying to show everyone the dress. I look nothing like the model with that dress on, and I actually love my look more.

You could fit a short v-shaped necklace if you want.

I have more of a blush dress and I tried rose gold headband and rose gold comes in too many shades. I returned headband and exchanged for silver as I preferred headband tone vs gold which I thought was too bright.
