Joint Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties?

Aidan (Mrs. Cowgell!), on November 17, 2011 at 10:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 15

This is something he and I have talked about from the start. A lot of my friends are guys, and honestly I don't think I could stand being around nothing but a group of girls all night, no matter how much I love them. A good chunk of his friends are girls. We don't have anything specific in mind, and have a feeling we may still get "kidnapped" by our friends for separate parties, but we love the idea of having our main parties together.

I want to know if anyone else has had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party? What did you guys do? How did it go? I'd love to hear about it!

We had a joint party, and we had a blast! During the day, the girls went putt putt, the boys went go carting. Then we met for dinner (sort of our un official rehersal dinner) then we went black light bowling. It was so much fun! We drank but didn't get loaded. We went with our wedding party and their SO's. If you have fun with other couples you are close with, might as well party together!

We just talked about this. We are gonna do our separate parties one day, then the next day we are gonna do a joint party at a bowling alley or Dave & Buster's

We're going to do a joint party. Not 100% sure what yet, probably dinner and bowling (we both love bowling, not that we're any good at it haha). I do have a feeling my BM and MOH are planning to kidnap me for an all girls bachelorette though.

Well, we had two joint bachelorette/bachelorette parties. One (dinner and arcade games at Dave & Buster's) was coed. The second (a trip to a traditional Korean bathhouse) was women-only, only because the men's and women's areas of the bathhouse are separate (as one might anticipate due to the nudity involved).

I want a joint bachelor/bachelorette party...but Mark says no. He says he wants it with the guys. I'm not happy about it for the fact they love to drink AND one of his friends was already saying he'll get the strippers. Something that I already said was a big NO.

We got a party bus, and went bar hoping. No one had to drive - It was great! 3 or 4 bars if my memory is correct. The men stayed on one side of the room, women on the other. He was doing his thing (with mardi gras beads with b**bs and a blinking button), and I had a veil (and a P-straw) and was doing my thing. We'd get bored after 30 - 45 min and grab everyone and move on to the next place. (small town) It wasn't until the last bar that we all kinda started getting together and did a few group shots together.

Were doing a joint party I guess you can say. Its more like get together. Its not about getting drunk yeah a few drinks. Not a bunch of drunks around us at a bar we dont know, just a nice night at our house with volleyball horseshoes a bon-fire. Our wedding party will be there friends and family. We enjoy each others company. And we havent been bachelorette/bachelor since we got together a little over a year ago..

My sister did this and we all went to a pool hall it was pretty good. she got to spend time with us girls and time with her husband and her guy friends. I am already going to have 2 bachelorette parties so i dont think we will have a joint one too. I have 6 BMs and half of them are over 21 and half are not, so we are having a PG party with the under and over 21 and then a Not-so-PG one with only over 21. I would love to have a party with my hubby but its a girls night.

My parties are going to be 10 people AT MOST for the PG one and maybe 6 for the over 21 one so having a night with just girls wont be too bad if they are MY girls. lol

We had a joint bach party... we talked about having a seperate one but our friends are all pretty much mutual so it just made more sense to have one together... well, we actually had two... one in NYC and one in Boston... The NYC one we went to a burlesque show that included dinner then went to the fat black pussy cat for drinks... the Boston one we went to dinner as well then to a local pub for drinks - both were equally awesome Smiley smile

My FH loves gaming and wanted a LAN party and said he'd love to have me with him. So it turned into our 'Bach' party. Gaming, drinks, food, Wii Mario Cart and Cards Against Humanity. We had a few other couples as well as some family. And honestly, it was perfect. It was so relaxing and FH's best man poured me the first margarita and toasted me. Felt great all night. Highly recommend the joint partySmiley smile
