Any other couples out there who booked at the Josephine Butler Parks Center in DC and now have to reschedule due to the pandemic? They have been difficult to work with and are trying to force us to pay our second payment upfront now or by early Fall to reserve a comparable day or date next year, in essence turning our full roughly $10,000 payment into a non-refundable deposit, shifting all the financial risks to us if the wedding still can't happen or they go under. I feel like this is unacceptable to try to force more payment from us and totally different that the original terms of our contract. I'd love to hear if other couples have gotten the same response, how you are handling, and and whether you see any value in approaching this in a collective way?
